The Digga Bigfoot Mini Skid Steer Trencher gives mini skid steers and walk-behind loaders a compact way to dig clean, consistent trenches for irrigation, drainage, underground power, communications, and other utility work. It digs up to 36 inches deep with 4-, 6-, or 8-inch cutting widths, while four depth settings let you match the trench to the job instead of digging deeper than you need to.
At just 320 pounds, the Bigfoot Mini Skid Steer Trencher keeps the attachment manageable for smaller machines without giving up the features that make Digga’s larger trenchers easy to use. The Headstart Crumber helps clean loose material from the bottom of the trench, the adjustable skid foot maintains digging depth, and the frame can be side shifted when you need to work closer to a building, curb, fence, or other obstacle. Choose an Earth, Combo, or Diggatac chain depending on the ground you’re working in.
Features
- 36-Inch Maximum Digging Depth: Gives compact machines enough depth for irrigation, drainage, conduit, utilities, and other underground installations.
- Three Cutting Widths: Choose a 4-, 6-, or 8-inch cut based on what you’re putting in the ground and how much material you need to remove.
- Four Depth Presets: Set the trencher for 18-, 24-, 30-, or 36-inch digging depths.
- Headstart Crumber System: Helps clear loose material from the bottom of the trench without requiring you to stop and reposition the crumber after beginning the cut.
- Adjustable Skid Foot: Helps maintain a consistent digging depth throughout the trench.
- Side-Shift Frame: Allows the trencher to be re-positioned laterally for digging closer to buildings and other permanent structures.
- Three Chain Options: Choose Earth, Combo, or Diggatac to match the cutting teeth to your ground conditions.
- Compact Design: At 320 pounds and 38 inches wide, it’s designed specifically for mini skid steers and walk-behind loaders.

How deep can the Digga Bigfoot Mini Skid Steer Trencher dig?
It can dig up to 36 inches deep, with 18-, 24-, 30-, and 36-inch depth settings.
What cutting widths are available?
The Bigfoot Mini Skid Steer Trencher can be configured for a 4-, 6-, or 8-inch-wide trench.
How much hydraulic flow does it need?
Digga specifies a recommended hydraulic flow range of 10–25 GPM, making it suitable for a range of mini skid steers and walk-behind loaders.
Which chain should I choose?
Earth is intended for soft, clean soil without rocks or tree roots. Combo combines earth and tungsten teeth and works well across harder soil, roots, soft shale, and rocky ground. Diggatac uses tungsten teeth at every station for demanding conditions including rocky ground, hard shale, asphalt, and frozen ground.
What does the Headstart Crumber System do?
The crumber follows behind the cutting chain to help remove loose material from the bottom of the trench. Digga’s design allows it to start in the trench, reducing the need to stop and manually reposition it after beginning the cut.
Can I trench close to a building or other structure?
Yes. The frame can be side shifted to position the cutting assembly closer to buildings, curbs, fences, and other permanent structures.
What’s the difference between the Bigfoot Mini Skid Steer Trencher and the standard Bigfoot 900?
Both can dig up to 36 inches deep and offer 4-, 6-, and 8-inch cutting widths, but the Bigfoot Mini Skid Steer Trencher is built specifically for mini skid steers and walk-behind loaders. At 320 pounds and 38 inches wide, it’s considerably smaller and lighter than the standard Bigfoot 900.
Compatible Machines
Note: Match the Bigfoot Mini Skid Steer Trencher to your machine’s auxiliary hydraulic flow, hydraulic pressure, lift capacity, couplers, and mount. Digga recommends 10–25 GPM, and the trencher weighs 320 lbs., so smaller walk-behind loaders need enough operating capacity to handle the attachment comfortably while maintaining stability during trenching.
