Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy

Effective Date: August 6, 2026

This Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy applies to products purchased from ECHO Eqpt LLC (“ECHO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through echoeqpt.com, by telephone, by email, or through an ECHO sales representative. Heavy equipment attachments are costly to ship and many products are built, configured, or ordered specifically for the customer. Please review this policy before placing an order.

Policy Summary

  • Return authorization from ECHO is required before any product is sent back.
  • Eligible standard stocked products must generally be requested for return within 15 calendar days after delivery and must be new, unused, uninstalled, and complete.
  • Approved discretionary returns are generally subject to a 20% restocking fee, original freight is nonrefundable, and the customer pays return freight.
  • Special-order, made-to-order, custom, modified, used, demo, clearance, and final-sale products are generally not returnable.
  • Freight damage, an incorrect shipment, or a product defect should be reported promptly and is handled separately from a discretionary return.

1. Return Authorization Is Required

Do not ship a product back without written return authorization from ECHO. Unauthorized returns may be refused, returned to the sender, or held at the customer expense.

Return authorization does not guarantee a refund. All returned products are subject to inspection and verification of eligibility, condition, completeness, identity, and purchase history.

2. Eligible Standard Product Returns

Unless a product page, quote, order confirmation, invoice, or written agreement states different terms, a standard stocked product may be eligible for return when all of the following conditions are met:

  • The customer requests return authorization within 15 calendar days after delivery.
  • The product was purchased directly from ECHO and proof of purchase is available.
  • The product is new, unused, uninstalled, unmounted, unmodified, and has not been operated or connected to a machine.
  • The product is clean and free from dirt, grease, hydraulic fluid, scratches, weld marks, paint damage, weather exposure, or other evidence of use or handling beyond reasonable inspection.
  • All manuals, guards, hoses, couplers, pins, hardware, electrical components, controllers, accessories, packaging, and promotional items are included.
  • The product is not excluded under Section 3 of this policy.
  • The product is returned in accordance with the written return instructions and within the time stated in the return authorization.

ECHO may approve or deny a discretionary return based on the product, condition, resale ability, manufacturer restrictions, elapsed time, freight requirements, and other relevant circumstances, subject to applicable law.

3. Products That Are Generally Not Returnable

The following products are final sale and are not returnable unless ECHO agrees in writing or the product is nonconforming, defective, or otherwise returnable under applicable law:

  • Special-order and manufacturer-order products. Products ECHO does not normally stock or products ordered from a supplier for a specific customer.
  • Made-to-order or fabricated products. Products that entered production, welding, cutting, machining, painting, assembly, or other fabrication for the order.
  • Custom or modified products. Products with a custom mount, width, hydraulic setup, electrical configuration, color, branding, dimensions, options, or other customer-requested change.
  • Used, demo, scratch-and-dent, clearance, closeout, liquidation, or final-sale products. The applicable listing or invoice may contain additional terms.
  • Installed or operated products. Products mounted to a machine, connected to hydraulics or electricity, filled with fluids, placed into service, or used for testing beyond a reasonable pre-use inspection.
  • Parts and components that cannot be resold as new. Opened sealed electrical components, programmed controls, cut hoses, installed seals, wear parts, consumables, and similar items.
  • Damaged or incomplete returns. Products damaged after delivery, improperly packaged, missing components, altered, repainted, welded, drilled, or otherwise changed by the customer.
  • Third-party marketplace purchases. Products purchased from another dealer, auction, marketplace, or seller must be returned through that seller unless ECHO agrees otherwise.

4. Restocking Fee

Approved discretionary returns of eligible standard products are generally subject to a restocking fee equal to 20% of the product purchase price. The fee helps cover inspection, handling, repackaging, administrative work, manufacturer charges, and reduced resale value.

A higher or lower restocking fee may apply when disclosed on the product page, quote, order confirmation, invoice, or return authorization. ECHO will not charge a restocking fee when the return is required because ECHO shipped the wrong product, the product materially failed to conform to the order, or the return is an approved remedy for a covered defect, unless the customer also caused damage or loss.

5. Freight and Other Nonrefundable Charges

  • Original outbound freight. Original shipping, delivery, accessorial, brokerage, customs, and handling charges are not refundable on a discretionary return.
  • Return freight. The customer is responsible for return freight, insurance, packaging, loading, and carrier charges unless ECHO authorizes otherwise because of an ECHO error or covered defect.
  • Carrier and third-party charges. Storage, redelivery, reconsignment, detention, liftgate, limited-access, customs, inspection, financing, and similar third-party charges are not refundable unless caused by an ECHO error and approved in writing.
  • Deductions for condition. ECHO may deduct reasonable costs for missing parts, cleaning, repair, repackaging, paint or cosmetic damage, freight damage caused by inadequate return packaging, or diminished value.

6. How to Request a Return

  1. Contact ECHO at 319-892-4140 or [email protected] within the applicable return period.
  2. Provide the purchaser name, order or invoice number, product name, serial number if applicable, delivery date, reason for the return, and current location of the product.
  3. Provide clear photographs or video showing the complete product, mount, cutting edge or wear areas, hydraulic components, serial plate, packaging, and any condition relevant to the request.
  4. Wait for written approval and return instructions. ECHO may require additional information or a remote inspection before authorizing return freight.
  5. Package and secure the product as directed. Use a carrier and service appropriate for the product, retain tracking and shipping documents, and insure the shipment for its full value when appropriate.
  6. Tender the authorized return to the carrier within 10 business days after authorization unless the written authorization provides a different deadline.

The customer remains responsible for the product until it is delivered to the authorized return location and accepted after inspection, except where applicable law or written shipping terms provide otherwise.

7. Inspection and Refund Timing

ECHO will inspect the returned product after it arrives. Inspection commonly takes 5 to 10 business days but may take longer when manufacturer review, testing, repair estimates, freight investigation, or missing documentation is required.

After the return is approved, the refund will generally be issued within 10 business days to the original payment method, less applicable restocking fees, freight, damage deductions, and other disclosed charges. Financial institutions may require additional time to post the credit.

If the original payment method cannot receive a refund, ECHO may issue a check, ACH payment, store credit, or another lawful refund method after verifying the purchaser identity and payment information.

8. Exchanges

An exchange is treated as a return of the original product and a separate purchase of the replacement product unless ECHO agrees otherwise in writing. Restocking, freight, price differences, tax, and lead-time terms may apply. Replacement products are subject to availability and are not reserved until payment and order acceptance requirements are met.

9. Order Cancellation Before Shipment

Submit cancellation requests as soon as possible. A request is not effective until ECHO confirms cancellation in writing. ECHO may be unable to stop an order that has already been submitted to a manufacturer, entered production, been modified, packaged, loaded, or tendered to a carrier.

Standard Stock Orders

A standard stock order canceled before shipment and before ECHO incurs material nonrecoverable costs is generally eligible for a full refund. If ECHO has incurred nonrecoverable manufacturer, packaging, handling, transfer, or other order-specific costs, ECHO may deduct the actual reasonable costs disclosed to the customer, subject to applicable law.

Special-Order and Manufacturer-Order Products

After ECHO submits a purchase order or commitment to a manufacturer or supplier, cancellation is subject to supplier approval and any nonrecoverable costs. When cancellation is allowed, ECHO may retain or charge the actual reasonable nonrecoverable costs, including supplier cancellation or restocking charges, freight, and order-specific expenses. For a standard non-custom product, these charges will generally not exceed 20% of the product price unless different terms were clearly disclosed before purchase.

Made-to-Order, Custom, or Modified Products

A made-to-order, custom, fabricated, or modified product may become non-cancelable when purchasing, design work, cutting, welding, machining, painting, assembly, programming, or other order-specific work begins. If ECHO permits cancellation, the customer is responsible for actual labor, material, supplier, engineering, freight, and other nonrecoverable costs, which may exceed 20% and may equal the full order amount if the product cannot reasonably be resold.

Orders Already Shipped

An order cannot be canceled after it has been tendered to a carrier. The customer must receive the shipment and request a return under this policy. Refusing delivery does not create an automatic right to a refund and may result in return freight, storage, redelivery, and other carrier charges.

10. Deposits and Partial Payments

Deposits and partial payments are applied to the order. The quote, order confirmation, invoice, financing agreement, or written project terms may state that a deposit is nonrefundable. When no specific deposit term is stated, any refund is subject to the cancellation rules above and may be reduced by actual reasonable nonrecoverable costs incurred for the order.

11. Shipping Delays and Unavailable Products

If ECHO cannot ship within a promised time, or within the time required by applicable law when no time was promised, ECHO will provide the customer with the delay, cancellation, and refund options required by law. If ECHO cancels an unshipped order because the product is unavailable, ECHO will provide a prompt refund of amounts paid for the canceled merchandise and associated unperformed shipping charges.

12. Freight Damage, Shortage, or Incorrect Shipment

Freight damage, missing pieces, and incorrect shipments are not ordinary discretionary returns. Follow the ECHO Shipping and Freight Delivery Policy, note visible damage or shortages on the delivery receipt, take photographs, preserve packaging, and contact ECHO promptly.

ECHO will determine the appropriate remedy based on the facts, carrier requirements, product condition, and applicable law. Remedies may include parts, repair, replacement, freight claim assistance, price adjustment, return authorization, or refund.

13. Defective Products and Warranty Claims

A suspected defect is handled under the applicable written warranty and is not automatically eligible for a refund. Contact ECHO before returning, repairing, disassembling, or modifying the product. ECHO or the manufacturer may require troubleshooting, photographs, video, serial information, maintenance records, fluid samples, inspection, or return of parts.

Warranty remedies may include diagnosis, repair instructions, replacement parts, repair, replacement product, or another remedy stated in the warranty. Wear, misuse, improper installation, machine incompatibility, operation outside specifications, unauthorized modification, accident, and lack of maintenance are not defects unless the applicable warranty states otherwise.

14. Refunds of Sales Tax and Financing Payments

Refundable sales tax will be adjusted based on the final taxable refund amount and applicable law. Tax-exempt customers are responsible for providing valid exemption documentation.

Financed purchases are also subject to the lender or financing provider agreement. Refunds may be paid to the lender, applied to the financed balance, or processed in another manner required by the financing agreement. Financing charges, document fees, or lender fees may not be refundable by ECHO.

15. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Please contact ECHO before initiating a chargeback so we can investigate and attempt to resolve the issue. A chargeback does not cancel the customer obligations under an accepted order, return authorization, freight agreement, or applicable law. ECHO may provide order, delivery, communication, and policy records to the payment processor or financial institution in response to a dispute.

16. Non-Waivable Rights

This policy does not limit any warranty, cancellation, refund, rejection, revocation, or other right that cannot lawfully be waived. When applicable law provides greater protection than this policy, the applicable law controls.

17. Relationship to Other Terms

This policy is incorporated into the ECHO Terms and Conditions of Sale. Product pages, quotes, order confirmations, invoices, manufacturer terms, written warranties, and signed agreements may contain product-specific terms. If a specific written agreement expressly conflicts with this policy, the specific written agreement controls for that order to the extent permitted by law.

18. Policy Changes

ECHO may update this policy from time to time. The version in effect when an order is accepted generally applies to that order, unless a later change is required by law or the parties agree otherwise in writing.
