Shipping and Freight Delivery Policy
Effective Date: August 6, 2026
This Shipping and Freight Delivery Policy explains how ECHO Eqpt LLC (“ECHO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes, ships, and delivers orders placed through echoeqpt.com, by telephone, by email, or through an ECHO sales representative. Because most products are heavy equipment attachments, many orders ship by less-than-truckload (LTL), flatbed, hotshot, or dedicated freight rather than ordinary parcel service.
Important Freight Summary
- Most attachments are delivered to the address provided at checkout or on the approved quote.
- The customer must provide a safe delivery location and suitable equipment and personnel to unload the shipment.
- Inspect the shipment before signing the delivery receipt. Note specific shortages or visible damage on the carrier paperwork and take photographs.
- Contact ECHO promptly if freight is damaged, missing, delayed, or delivered incorrectly.
- Product lead times and transit times are estimates unless ECHO expressly guarantees a date in writing.
1. Where We Ship
ECHO ships to commercial, agricultural, residential, and jobsite addresses throughout the continental United States. Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, United States territories, Canada, or other international destinations require advance approval and may require a separate freight quote.
We may decline or cancel an order when safe, lawful, or commercially reasonable delivery cannot be arranged. Certain products, oversized loads, hazardous components, or manufacturer-direct shipments may be subject to additional geographic restrictions.
2. Shipping Methods
The shipping method is selected based on the product, dimensions, weight, destination, availability, and customer requirements. Methods may include:
- LTL common carrier freight.
- Dedicated truck, flatbed, hotshot, or specialized freight.
- Manufacturer-direct or drop shipment.
- ECHO-arranged local or regional delivery.
- Customer pickup at ECHO or another approved location.
- Parcel service for eligible parts, manuals, or small accessories.
ECHO may divide an order into multiple shipments. Separate shipments may arrive on different dates and through different carriers.
3. Freight Quotes and Shipping Charges
Shipping charges shown at checkout or on a quote are based on the information available when the charge is calculated. A freight quote may change if the customer provides an incomplete or inaccurate address, fails to disclose delivery conditions, changes the destination, or requests services not included in the original quote.
Before an order is accepted or released, ECHO may contact the customer to confirm or adjust freight charges. If a material freight adjustment is required after the order is placed but before shipment, ECHO will request approval before proceeding or will offer cancellation of the unshipped order and a refund of amounts paid for the unshipped merchandise.
Common Additional Carrier Charges
- Residential or farm delivery. A carrier may classify a location as residential even when equipment is used for business or agricultural purposes.
- Limited-access delivery. Schools, military facilities, mines, construction sites, storage facilities, fairs, marinas, airports, remote properties, and similar locations may be treated as limited access.
- Liftgate service. Liftgate service must be requested in advance and may not be available or safe for oversized or unusually heavy attachments.
- Appointment or notification service. Carriers may charge for delivery appointments, pre-call service, or narrow delivery windows.
- Redelivery, reconsignment, storage, or detention. Additional charges may apply when the receiver is unavailable, the address changes, the site is inaccessible, unloading is delayed, or freight is held at a terminal.
- Oversize or special handling. Long, wide, non-stackable, high-value, or unusually shaped freight may require special equipment or handling.
Unless the charge resulted from ECHO providing incorrect shipment information, the customer is responsible for additional carrier charges caused by the delivery address, site conditions, requested services, inability to receive freight, or changes requested after shipment.
4. Order Processing, Availability, and Lead Times
Products may be in stock, manufacturer-direct, built to order, configured after purchase, or temporarily backordered. Any lead time shown on a product page, quote, order confirmation, or sales communication is a good-faith estimate based on the information available at that time.
- A processing or lead time refers to the time before the order is tendered to a carrier. It is not a guaranteed delivery date.
- Transit time begins after the carrier accepts the shipment and may be affected by weather, terminal congestion, equipment availability, road restrictions, labor disruptions, inspections, customs, or other events outside ECHO control.
- A product described as “in stock” may still require preparation, packaging, inspection, mounting changes, or freight scheduling before shipment.
- Special-order and made-to-order products may have longer lead times and may become non-cancelable after purchasing, fabrication, or customization begins.
If ECHO cannot ship within a promised time, or within the time required by applicable law when no specific time was promised, ECHO will provide an updated estimate and any cancellation or refund options required by law. A customer who agrees to a revised shipment date remains responsible for the order, subject to any later delay notice or cancellation rights required by law.
5. Address and Delivery Information
The customer is responsible for providing a complete, accurate, and deliverable address, including business name, contact name, telephone number, email address, gate instructions, site restrictions, and any known delivery requirements.
Changing an address after an order has shipped may not be possible. If the carrier permits a change, the customer is responsible for reconsignment, mileage, redelivery, storage, and related charges unless the change was required because of an ECHO error.
6. Delivery Appointments and Site Access
Freight carriers generally deliver during business hours. Delivery dates and appointment windows are estimates unless the carrier expressly agrees otherwise. The customer must ensure that an adult or authorized employee is available to receive the shipment and sign the delivery receipt.
The delivery location must be safely accessible to the carrier. The driver may refuse to enter a driveway, field, yard, jobsite, or other area that the driver considers unsafe, restricted, soft, narrow, obstructed, or unsuitable for the delivery vehicle. Standard freight delivery does not include inside delivery, installation, assembly, moving the product across the property, or placing the product in a building.
7. Customer Unloading Responsibility
Unless ECHO expressly agrees in writing to provide unloading, the customer is solely responsible for unloading the shipment safely. Freight drivers are generally not required to unload heavy equipment or attachments.
- Have a forklift, skid steer, compact track loader, telehandler, loader, crane, dock, or other equipment with adequate rated capacity and appropriate forks, chains, rigging, or lifting points ready before delivery.
- Use trained personnel and follow all manufacturer instructions, load ratings, site safety rules, and applicable laws.
- Do not rely on a carrier liftgate unless liftgate service was approved and the shipment is within the carrier equipment limits.
- Do not stand under suspended loads or allow untrained persons to assist with unloading.
If safe unloading cannot be completed when the carrier arrives, the carrier may leave, return the freight to a terminal, or assess detention, redelivery, or storage charges.
ECHO is not responsible for injury, property damage, product damage, or additional charges caused by unsafe or improper unloading, except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be limited.
8. Inspection at Delivery
The receiver should inspect every shipment before signing the delivery receipt. The receiver should not sign first and inspect later when a reasonable inspection can be performed at delivery.
- Confirm the number of pallets, crates, bundles, and loose pieces against the delivery receipt or bill of lading.
- Inspect wrapping, bands, crates, pallets, exposed steel, hydraulic components, mounts, cylinders, hoses, motors, and accessories for visible damage or missing items.
- Photograph the shipment from multiple angles before unloading and again after any damage is discovered.
- Write specific damage or shortage details on the carrier delivery receipt before signing. Examples include “fork tine puncture through crate,” “hydraulic cylinder bent,” “one pallet missing,” or “frame scraped and visibly twisted.” A general notation such as “subject to inspection” may not protect a claim.
- Ask the driver to acknowledge the notation and retain a copy or clear photograph of the signed delivery receipt.
- Contact ECHO as soon as possible while the driver is present when damage is severe or refusal may be appropriate.
9. Visible Damage, Shortage, or Wrong Item
For visible freight damage, missing pieces, or an apparently incorrect item, notify ECHO immediately and preferably within 24 hours after delivery. Prompt notice helps preserve evidence and allows ECHO and the carrier to investigate.
Do not refuse a shipment solely because the packaging is scuffed or damaged if the product appears intact. Refusal may be appropriate when damage is substantial, the product is unsafe to unload, or major pieces are missing. When possible, call ECHO before refusing delivery so we can help document the condition and coordinate next steps.
10. Concealed Damage
Concealed damage is damage that was not reasonably visible at delivery. Inspect and unwrap the product promptly after receipt. Notify ECHO immediately after concealed damage is found and preferably within 5 calendar days of delivery. Keep all packaging, pallets, bands, and damaged components until ECHO or the carrier authorizes disposal.
Do not repair, operate, modify, repaint, or discard a damaged product before ECHO or the carrier has had a reasonable opportunity to inspect it or provide instructions, except when immediate action is necessary to prevent injury or additional property damage.
11. Freight Claims
Freight claims are governed by applicable law, the carrier tariff, and the bill of lading or other contract of carriage. A notation on a delivery receipt is important evidence, but it may not by itself constitute a complete formal claim. A formal claim may require shipment identification, photographs, repair estimates, invoices, proof of value, and a stated or determinable claim amount.
Depending on the shipping arrangement, ECHO, the customer, the manufacturer, or another party may be the proper claimant. ECHO will reasonably assist with documentation and communication, but the customer must cooperate, preserve evidence, permit inspection, and meet any applicable carrier deadlines.
Failure to inspect, document, preserve packaging, or provide prompt notice may reduce or prevent recovery from a carrier. Nothing in this policy waives rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
12. Lost or Delayed Freight
Carrier tracking and estimated delivery dates are not guarantees. If a shipment appears lost or materially delayed, contact ECHO. We will work with the carrier to trace the shipment and determine available options.
ECHO is not responsible for lost profits, equipment downtime, rental costs, labor costs, crop loss, project delay, missed appointments, or other indirect losses caused by carrier delay, except where applicable law does not permit that limitation. Customers should not schedule installation, teardown, labor, or time-sensitive work until the equipment has arrived and has been inspected.
13. Local Pickup and Customer-Arranged Freight
Local pickup and customer-arranged freight require advance scheduling. The customer or carrier must arrive with a suitable vehicle, securement equipment, and legal load capacity. ECHO may refuse loading when the vehicle, trailer, securement method, or requested loading practice appears unsafe or unlawful.
The customer is responsible for load securement after the product is placed on the customer vehicle or customer-selected carrier equipment. Any pickup inspection, acceptance, risk-of-loss, or freight terms stated on the quote, invoice, pickup document, or bill of lading also apply.
14. Canadian and International Shipments
Unless a written quote states otherwise, the customer is the importer of record and is responsible for customs brokerage, duties, tariffs, import taxes, value-added taxes, permits, inspections, destination charges, and compliance with local equipment, safety, labeling, and certification requirements.
International freight terms, currency, payment method, export documents, and responsibility for loss or damage will be stated on the applicable quote or order confirmation. ECHO may require wire payment, additional identity verification, or other safeguards before releasing an export order.
15. Title and Risk of Loss
Title and risk of loss are determined by the accepted quote or order confirmation, the bill of lading or other shipping document, and applicable law. Commercial orders may include specific freight terms such as FOB origin or FOB destination. Nothing in this policy transfers risk for nonconforming goods in a manner prohibited by law.
16. Relationship to Other Policies
Returns, cancellations, product defects, and warranty claims are governed by the ECHO Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy, the applicable written warranty, the Terms and Conditions of Sale, and any product-specific or manufacturer terms. If a written quote or signed agreement expressly conflicts with this policy, the specific written agreement controls for that order.
17. Policy Changes
ECHO may update this policy from time to time. The version in effect when an order is accepted generally applies to that order, unless a later change is required by law or the parties agree otherwise in writing.
