Estimated shipping only — your final shipping cost is confirmed at checkout.
The Digga Skid Steer Auger Drive turns your skid steer or compact track loader into a powerful drilling setup for fence posts, footings, landscaping, planting, utility work, and more. Four drive options let you match the attachment to your machine instead of over- or under-sizing it: the 1DSS starts at 6 GPM, while the 2DSS, 3DSS, and 4DSS step up in torque for larger holes and tougher ground. Each uses a 2″ hex output shaft and works with Digga’s A4 and RC4 auger bits.
Each drive comes as a complete skid steer package with the universal skid steer mount and linkage, 87″ hydraulic hoses, and flat-face quick disconnects. Digga’s compact planetary gearbox can follow the auger down into the hole for more usable drilling depth, and the optional HALO Auger Alignment System gives you a clear visual guide from the cab to help keep your holes straight. Add the magnetic HALO battery for cordless operation and the ability to set a custom drilling angle.
Features
- Four Drive Options: Choose the 1DSS, 2DSS, 3DSS, or 4DSS based on your machine’s hydraulic flow and the amount of torque your work requires.
- Complete Skid Steer Package: Includes the universal skid steer mount and linkage, 87″ hydraulic hoses, and flat-face quick disconnects.
- Digga Planetary Gearbox: The compact gearbox is designed to follow the auger into the hole, helping maximize usable drilling depth.
- 2″ Hex Output Shaft: All four models use a 2″ hex shaft and work with Digga’s A4 and RC4 auger bits.
- Optional HALO Alignment System: HALO is built into the auger-drive hood and uses red and green LED indicators to help the operator keep the auger plumb from the cab.
- Optional HALO Magnetic Battery: The magnetic battery kit eliminates the need to run HALO’s power cable back to the cab and adds a zero function for drilling at a selected angle.
- Screw Anchor Capability: The drives can also be configured for screw-anchor installation with the appropriate Digga Energy Control Valve.

Which Digga auger drive should I choose?
Start with your machine’s auxiliary hydraulic flow. The 1DSS is designed for 6–16 GPM, the 2DSS for 10–26 GPM, and the 3DSS and 4DSS for 10–30 GPM. From there, consider your typical hole diameter and ground conditions. Moving up through the lineup gives you more available torque for larger holes and tougher drilling.
What’s the difference between the 3DSS and 4DSS?
Both are designed for 10–30 GPM and use the same 2″ hex output shaft, but the 4DSS produces more torque. At 3,000 PSI, the 3DSS produces 2,829 ft-lbs., while the 4DSS produces 3,276 ft-lbs. If your machine can run either, the 4DSS gives you additional digging force for tougher conditions.
How large of a hole can I drill?
Digga rates the 1DSS for up to 24″ in earth and 12″ in clay or shale. The 2DSS, 3DSS, and 4DSS are rated for up to 30″ in earth and 24″ in clay or shale. Ground conditions, auger selection, hydraulic output, and drilling depth can all affect real-world performance.
What auger bits work with these drives?
Digga recommends its A4 and RC4 auger ranges for the 1DSS through 4DSS. All four drives use a 2″ hex output shaft.
What comes with the Digga Skid Steer Auger Drive?
Each model is sold as a complete skid steer package with a universal skid steer mount and linkage, 87″ hydraulic hoses, and flat-face quick disconnects. The auger bit is selected separately.
What is the optional HALO Auger Alignment System?
HALO is an alignment system built into the hood of the auger drive. Red and green LED indicators are visible to the operator and show when the auger is plumb, then guide the operator back into alignment if the auger begins to drift. This makes it easier to drill straight holes without relying on someone outside the cab to check alignment.
How is HALO powered?
HALO-equipped auger drives include an extension cable and an in-cab 12V power plug as standard. Digga also offers an optional $330 magnetic battery kit that mounts to the machine’s boom or attachment mounting plate, eliminating the need to run a power cable back to the cab. The kit includes the magnetic battery, a 1 m cable, and USB charging cable.
What does the HALO magnetic battery’s zero function do?
Normally, HALO uses vertical plumb as its reference point. The optional magnetic battery adds a zero function that lets the operator position the auger at the desired angle and set that position as the new reference. HALO’s red and green indicators can then guide the operator back to that angle if the auger begins to drift, making it useful when a hole intentionally needs to be drilled at an angle.
Is HALO available on all four auger drives?
Yes. Digga offers HALO-equipped versions of the 1DSS, 2DSS, 3DSS, and 4DSS.
Can these auger drives be used for screw anchors?
Yes. Digga allows these drives to be configured for screw-anchor installation with the appropriate Energy Control Valve.
Note: Match the auger drive to your machine’s auxiliary hydraulic flow, hydraulic pressure, lift capacity, couplers, and mount. The correct drive depends heavily on hydraulic flow: the 1DSS requires 6–16 GPM, the 2DSS requires 10–26 GPM, and the 3DSS and 4DSS require 10–30 GPM. All four are sold here with a universal skid steer mount.

Match the Drive to Your Machine
Four drive options make it easier to match the attachment to your skid steer’s hydraulic output and the drilling work you need to do.
Get More Torque When You Need It
Move up through the 1DSS, 2DSS, 3DSS, and 4DSS as hole size and ground conditions demand more digging force.
Start with a Complete Skid Steer Setup
The universal skid steer mount, linkage, hydraulic hoses, and flat-face quick disconnects are included in the package, so you’re not piecing the basic attachment together separately.
Make Alignment Easier with HALO
Add HALO for an operator-visible reference that helps keep holes straight, with an optional magnetic battery and zero function available when you need cordless power or angled drilling.
