Skeer Systems | EXBEAM Excavator Grading Beam
Estimated shipping only — your final shipping cost is confirmed at checkout.
The Skeer EXBEAM is an excavator grading beam built to handle final grading, leveling, spreading, and material carrying with one attachment. The wide beam gives the operator a long, consistent cutting edge for leaving a clean finish, while the side plates let you keep material in front of the beam and carry it across the job instead of just chasing it around. Skeer designed the EXBEAM specifically for finish work where a ditch bucket starts to become the wrong tool for the job.
Available for excavators from approximately 3.5 to 10 tons, the EXBEAM comes in 60″, 72″, 84″, and 100″ working widths. It can be paired with a tiltrotator, or with Skeer’s integrated 80° tilt/swivel system. That combination of a wide cutting edge, material-carrying side plates, and side-to-side movement makes the EXBEAM especially useful for final grade, slopes, drainage, backfilled trenches, base preparation, and cleanup around structures.
Features:
- Tilting Design: Hydraulic tilt allows the operator to adjust the grading angle from the cab for slopes, contours, and uneven surfaces.
- Grade and Carry: Designed to perform final grading while also carrying and moving material with the same attachment.
- 14.5-Inch Hardox 450 Cutting Edge: Wide, replaceable wear edge provides a durable grading surface for regular ground contact.
- Four Available Widths: Choose from 60-, 72-, 84-, and 100-inch models to match different excavator sizes and applications.
- Excavator-Specific Design: Built specifically for 3.5- to 10-ton excavators rather than adapting a skid steer grading attachment to excavator work.
- Optional Double Side Plates: Available for operators who want additional material containment while carrying and spreading material.
- Excavator Size: 3.5-10 tons
- Working Widths: 60″, 72″, 84″, 100″

What size excavator is the EXBeam designed for?
Skeer designed the EXBeam for excavators in the 3.5- to 10-ton class.
What EXBeam widths are available?
The EXBeam is available in 60-, 72-, 84-, and 100-inch widths, giving you several options for matching the grading beam to your excavator and typical working conditions.
What is the cutting edge made from?
The EXBeam uses a 14.5-inch Hardox 450 replaceable cutting edge. Hardox 450 is a wear-resistant steel intended for applications where the working surface regularly encounters abrasive material.
Why use a grading beam instead of a grading bucket?
A grading beam provides a much wider working surface, making it useful for spreading and finishing material across larger areas. The EXBeam can also carry material, giving operators the ability to move, spread, and finish material without changing attachments.
What are the optional double side plates for?
Adding double side plates helps contain material while carrying and spreading it. They can be useful when you want the EXBeam to hold material more effectively rather than primarily using it as an open grading surface.
Which EXBeam width should I choose?
The right width depends on your excavator size, stability, working conditions, and the type of grading you plan to do. Smaller widths are easier to maneuver and better suited to smaller machines, while wider models cover more ground per pass on appropriately sized excavators.

Finish More Ground in Fewer Passes
The EXBeam’s wide grading surface lets you cover significantly more area than a conventional excavator bucket, helping speed up final-grade work.
Grade Without Constantly Repositioning
Hydraulic tilt lets you adjust the working angle from the excavator, making it easier to shape slopes, contours, and uneven areas.
Grade and Carry With One Attachment
Move material where you need it, spread it, and finish the surface without repeatedly switching attachments.
Built for Finish Work
The wide beam and 14.5-inch Hardox 450 cutting edge give operators a stable working surface for smoothing and finishing material.
