Estimated shipping only — your final shipping cost is confirmed at checkout.
The Digga Bigfoot 900 Skid Steer Trencher is built for irrigation, drainage, utilities, conduit, and other jobs where you need a clean, consistent trench without bringing another machine to the job site. It digs up to 36 inches deep and can be set up for a 4-, 6-, or 8-inch cut. Choose an Earth, Combo, or Diggatac chain depending on your ground conditions, from straightforward soil to roots, rock, hard shale, and frozen ground.
The Bigfoot 900 also has a few features that make trenching less of a headache. Digga’s Headstart Crumber System helps clear loose material from the bottom of the trench without requiring you to get out and reposition the crumber after starting your cut. The adjustable depth-control foot stays visible from the cab, and the side-shift frame lets you move the trencher closer to buildings, curbs, fences, and other obstacles when a centered cut won’t get you where you need to go.
Features
- Up to 36-Inch Digging Depth: Cuts trenches up to 36 inches deep with preset depth positions for more consistent trenching.
- 4-, 6-, or 8-Inch Cutting Widths: Choose the trench width that fits the pipe, irrigation, utility, or construction work you’re doing.
- Headstart Crumber System: Allows the crumber bar to start in the trench, reducing the need to get out of the skid steer to reposition it before trenching.
- Adjustable Depth-Control Foot: Helps maintain a consistent digging depth throughout the trench.
- Cab-Visible Skid Foot: The operator can see the foot from the cab to more easily position the trencher correctly.
- Side-Shift Frame: Lets the trencher move laterally on the mounting frame for digging closer to buildings, curbs, fences, and other permanent structures.
- Spoil Removal Auger: Moves excavated soil away from the trench as you work, helping leave a cleaner trench and reduce material falling back into the cut.
- Three Chain Options: Choose Earth, Combination, or Diggatac depending on soil and ground conditions.
- Digga/Eaton Motor: Uses a 2K Bell Eaton hydraulic motor with a maximum continuous power rating of 34 hp.

How deep can the Digga Skid Steer Trencher dig?
The Bigfoot 900 can trench up to 36 inches deep. Its adjustable skid foot provides 24-, 30-, and 36-inch depth presets to help maintain a consistent trench depth.
What trench widths are available?
The Bigfoot 900 is available with 4-, 6-, and 8-inch cutting widths, so you can choose a chain width based on the material you’re installing and the amount of soil you want to remove.
Which chain should I choose?
Choose the Earth chain for soft, clean soil without rocks or tree roots. The Combination chain mixes earth and tungsten teeth and is the most versatile option for hard soil, roots, soft shale, and rocky ground. Diggatac uses tungsten teeth at every station and is intended for demanding conditions including rocky ground, hard shale, asphalt, and frozen ground.
What hydraulic flow does the Bigfoot 900 need?
Digga recommends 13–25 GPM. The trencher should not exceed 25 GPM, and hydraulic pressure and flow need to remain within Digga’s limits for the motor.
What does the Headstart Crumber System do?
The crumber helps clean loose material from the bottom of the trench. Digga’s Headstart design allows it to begin in the trench, eliminating the usual step of getting out of the machine to reposition the crumber after starting the cut.
Can I trench next to a building or other structure?
Yes. The trencher frame can be side shifted, allowing the cutting head to work closer to buildings, curbs, fences, and other permanent structures than it could if it remained centered on the skid steer.
What is the spoil auger for?
The auger carries excavated soil away from the cutting chain and trench opening. That helps keep loose material from immediately falling back into the trench and leaves the spoil positioned alongside the cut for later backfilling.
What is the Bigfoot 900 commonly used for?
It’s well suited to irrigation and drainage lines, underground electrical and communications, utility installation, road repairs, and other construction jobs that require a narrow, controlled trench.

Dig a More Consistent Trench
The adjustable depth-control foot helps maintain your selected depth throughout the cut, making it easier to install pipe, irrigation, conduit, and utilities at a consistent depth.
Spend Less Time Outside the Cab
The visible skid foot and Headstart Crumber System are designed to reduce the amount of stopping, climbing out, and manually repositioning components during trenching.
Match the Chain to the Ground
Three chain options let you set the trencher up for anything from clean soil to roots and rocky ground, all the way to hard shale, asphalt, and frozen ground.
Work Closer to Structures
The side-shift frame lets you move the trencher away from the center of the skid steer when you need to cut closer to a building, curb, fence, or other obstacle.
