The ECHO SS Super Skid Removable Flatbed is a heavy-duty hauling platform designed to convert a semi tractor into a versatile agricultural and equipment transport truck. Built for operators who need flexibility, the Super Skid can be swapped on or off in about 15 minutes, allowing the truck to quickly return to normal towing duty.
Unlike many competing flatbed systems that use C-channel steel, the ECHO SS Super Skid is built with a fully tubular framework. That design creates a stronger platform for hauling large agricultural tanks, equipment, and materials, while also providing a more capable towing setup. With the correct hitch, this setup can handle up to 40,000 lbs. of towing capacity, based on your provided spec.
The system is commonly used by farms and ag retailers to transport large liquid fertilizer or water tanks between locations, while still giving operators the option to remove the skid and use the semi tractor for other jobs.
How long does it take to install or remove the Super Skid?
Most experienced operators can install or remove it in about 15 minutes. Average users are typically around 30 minutes.
What trucks does this work on?
This system is designed for semi tractors and can be adjusted to fit a wide range of makes and models using the slotted frame and adjustable mounting system.
Is this permanently mounted to the truck?
No – that’s the whole advantage. This is a removable system, so your semi can go back to a standard tractor quickly.
What is it primarily used for?
Most commonly:
Is this better than buying a dedicated tender truck?
Yes for most operations. You’re using a truck you already own instead of dedicating a full unit to one job.
Can it tow trailers as well?
Yes – with the correct hitch setup, it can tow heavy loads and function as a full tender truck setup.
Is it customizable?
Yes – each unit is built to fit your truck and can be adjusted for future trucks as well.
The ECHO SS Super Skid is designed to work with most semi tractors using a standard fifth wheel / kingpin setup. Its adjustable frame allows fitment across a wide range of truck brands and configurations.

Fast Changeover
The removable design allows the Super Skid to be swapped in about 15 minutes, so one truck can move between flatbed hauling and standard towing quickly.
Stronger Than Typical Flatbed Designs
The fully tubular framework provides a stronger structure than many competing designs built from C-channel steel.
Built for Agricultural Tank Transport
Creates a stable platform for hauling large liquid fertilizer tanks, water tanks, and other ag equipment.
Multi-Purpose Semi Tractor Setup
Use one semi tractor for tank transport, equipment hauling, drone support, and towing instead of dedicating a separate truck to each task.
At ECHO Equipment, we actually use and support the equipment we sell. You’re not getting generic answers - you’re talking to people who understand how this equipment works in the field. That means faster answers, better recommendations, and no wasted time trying to figure things out on your own.
We’re easy to work with. If something breaks, tell us what actually happened and be honest with us (a good sense of humor doesn’t hurt either). We’re often known to help out even outside of standard warranty terms. And if it’s on us, we’ll own it and make it right. No excuses, no finger pointing - just real support when it matters.
