What does a land plane do?

A land plane is used to level and smooth gravel, dirt, and aggregate surfaces by cutting high spots and redistributing material evenly.

Is this better than using a bucket for grading?

Yes. A land plane produces a much smoother and more consistent finish in fewer passes compared to a bucket.

Do I need scarifiers?

Scarifiers are recommended if you’re working with hard-packed gravel or clay. They help loosen material so it can be properly graded.

Can this be used for driveway maintenance?

Yes – this is one of the best tools available for maintaining gravel driveways and private roads.

What size should I choose?

• 66″–72″ – smaller machines or tighter areas
• 78″–84″ – larger machines and higher production work

Does it require hydraulics?

The base unit does not. Hydraulic flow is only required if equipped with hydraulic scarifiers.

The Stinger Skid Steer Land Plane is compatible with most skid steers and compact track loaders using the universal quick attach system.

Fast, Even Grading

Front and rear cutting edges help move loose material, fill low spots, and smooth gravel, dirt, and topsoil in fewer passes.

Great for Driveways and Lanes

Ideal for maintaining gravel driveways, farm lanes, trails, roads, yards, and other rough surfaces that need cleaned up.

Breaks Up Hard Ground

The optional hydraulic scarifier adds 1/2″ teeth to help loosen packed dirt, gravel, and rough ground before grading.

Built-In Bucket Transport

Top dirt bucket hooks are included so operators can carry a bucket with the land plane during transport, saving extra trips across the yard, farm, or jobsite.

• Farmers maintaining gravel lanes, field entrances, yards, barn lots, and washed-out areas.
• Acreage owners repairing driveways, private roads, trails, and rough property surfaces.
