The Stinger Series 1 Standard Bale Spear is built for farmers, ranchers, and acreage owners who need a simple way to move medium to large round bales or square bales. Its triangle spear layout uses one large upper spear with two lower stabilizer spears, helping support the bale during lifting, carrying, and stacking.
This bale spear is a strong fit for skid steers, compact track loaders, and tractors with universal skid steer quick attach. With replaceable tines, a safety step, heavy-duty tubing, and a 70-degree back angle, it is a straightforward attachment for daily hay handling without overcomplicating the job. Stinger lists this model at 240 lbs with one 49" main spear and two 33" lower spears.
What is the Stinger Series 1 Standard Bale Spear used for?
It is used for moving medium to large round bales and square bales around farms, ranches, acreages, and feed areas.
Will this bale spear work on a tractor?
Yes, it can work on tractors with a universal skid steer quick attach loader mount. Always confirm your tractor has SSQA and enough lift capacity for the attachment and bale weight.
Is this only for skid steers?
No. While it uses a skid steer quick attach mount, it can also be used on compact track loaders and tractors with compatible SSQA mounting.
How many spears does it have?
It has three total spears. The top spear is a larger 49″ Conus 2 spear, and the bottom two spears are smaller 33″ stabilizer spears.
Why does it use three spears instead of one?
The three-spear triangle layout helps support the bale and reduce unwanted movement while lifting, carrying, and stacking.
Are the tines replaceable?
Yes. Stinger lists this model with replaceable double-nut tines, making it easier to service if a tine is damaged or worn.
What size bales can it handle?
It is built for medium to large round bales and square bales. Final capacity depends on bale size, bale weight, machine lift capacity, and operating conditions.
What machines fit this bale spear?
It fits many skid steers, compact track loaders, and tractors with universal skid steer quick attach. Always verify your machine’s mount style before ordering.
