What makes the PG3 different from a basic land plane?
A land plane mainly drags and levels material, while the PG3 uses a carbide power drum to break up compacted gravel and soil before grading.

Is this more like a grader or a soil conditioner?
It sits between both. It grades like a land plane, but the powered carbide drum gives it more bite for breaking up rough or packed material.

Can it fix rough gravel driveways?
Yes. This is one of the best uses for it because it can loosen packed gravel, redistribute material, and finish the surface in fewer passes.
