The Eterra Skid Steer Sickle Bar Mower is built for cutting ditches, roadsides, fence lines, hedges, berms, and hard-to-reach vegetation without the debris throw of a rotary mower. Available with a 7′ or 9′ cutter bar, it combines a wide cutting range with over 17′ of reach when the loader arms are raised.
The sickle cuts vegetation and woody material up to 2″ thick and can work from 45° below grade to 110° above, letting you mow ditch banks, vertical growth, and overhead vegetation from the skid steer. A built-in breakaway system helps protect the mower if the bar catches a fence post, rock, or other obstruction.

How thick of material will the Eterra Sickle Bar Mower cut?
Both models are rated to cut vegetation and woody material up to 2″ thick.
How far can it reach?
Eterra states that raising the skid steer loader arms provides over 17′ of reach, making the attachment particularly useful for ditches, banks, hedges, and vegetation away from the machine.
Can it mow below grade?
Yes. The cutter can operate down to 45° below grade, allowing you to reach down ditch banks and slopes while keeping the skid steer on more stable ground. It can also raise to 110° for elevated and near-vertical cutting.
Why use a sickle mower instead of a rotary brush cutter?
A sickle bar gives you significantly different reach and cutting angles while producing much less thrown debris. It’s a strong choice for roadside, fence-line, ditch, hedge, and property maintenance where you don’t necessarily want a rotary cutter throwing material.
What happens if I hit a fence post or rock?
Eterra incorporates a breakaway bar designed to help protect the attachment from accidental impacts with solid obstacles.
What hydraulic flow does it require?
Both the 7′ and 9′ skid steer models require 15–20 GPM, with a maximum pressure rating of 3,500 PSI.
Can I use this mower underwater?
No. Eterra does not rate the 7′ or 9′ skid steer versions for aquatic use.

Eterra Attachments are backed by a limited manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper installation, normal wear and tear, or operation outside of rated capacities.
