The BrushHound 72F Skid Steer Flail Mower is built for mowing grass, weeds, light brush, and woody undergrowth while leaving a clean, even finish. Its 72″ cutting width covers ground efficiently, while front caster wheels and an adjustable rear roller help the mower follow uneven terrain and maintain a consistent cutting height.
The 72F handles material up to 1″ thick with 30 industrial flail knives and operates with 13–27 GPM of auxiliary hydraulic flow. A universal skid steer mounting plate, included hydraulic hoses and flat-face couplers, and an adjustable 0–6″ cutting height make it a practical mowing attachment for fields, roadsides, properties, parks, and job sites.

What is the BrushHound 72F designed to cut?
The 72F is designed for grass, weeds, light brush, and woody undergrowth up to approximately 1″ thick. It is intended for mowing and vegetation maintenance where a cleaner finished surface is important.
What is the cutting width?
The 72F has a 72″ cutting width and an 80″ overall width.
What hydraulic flow does the 72F require?
The 72F is designed for 13–27 GPM of auxiliary hydraulic flow.
Does the 72F require a case drain?
Yes. A case drain is required.
Are the front caster wheels included?
Yes. The current 72F includes two foam-filled front caster wheels to help maintain cutting height across uneven terrain.
How is the cutting height adjusted?
The front caster wheels and adjustable 6″ rear roller support the mower and allow the cutting height to be set from 0″ to 6″.
What type of knives does the 72F use?
The standard configuration uses 30 industrial flail knives. Scoop and dethatching knife configurations are also available for different vegetation-management applications.
What does True Shaft Technology do?
The cutter drum is electronically balanced and uses serviceable hubs to help the shaft run smoothly and reduce vibration during operation.
Is this mower specifically for skid steers?
Yes. The 72F uses a universal skid steer mounting plate and is intended for compatible skid steer loaders with adequate hydraulic flow, operating capacity, and a case drain.
When should I choose the 72F instead of a heavier brush mower?
The 72F is a strong choice when the work is primarily grass, weeds, and light brush and you want a cleaner mowing finish. For dense brush, saplings, and larger woody material, a heavier BrushHound model such as the FH Series is more appropriate.
Note: The BrushHound 72F requires 13–27 GPM auxiliary hydraulic flow, a case drain, and sufficient operating capacity for the 861-Lb. attachment. Verify hydraulic configuration and machine capacity before ordering.

Maintain a Clean, Even Finish
The flail drum cuts and mulches vegetation rather than simply knocking it down, making the 72F well suited to properties and job sites where the finished appearance matters.
Follow Uneven Terrain
The included front caster wheels and adjustable rear roller support the mower across changing ground conditions, helping maintain a more consistent cutting height.
Cover More Ground
A 72″ cutting width provides efficient coverage for larger mowing areas without turning the attachment into a heavy-brush shredder.
Handle More Than Routine Grass
With up to 1″ cutting capacity, the 72F can move from regular mowing into weeds, woody undergrowth, and light brush without changing attachments.
