The Prime Rigid Deck Brush Mower is a heavy-duty skid steer attachment designed for mowing grass, clearing heavy brush, and cutting saplings and small trees. Built for durability and performance, this mower can handle material up to 3 inches in diameter, making it ideal for property maintenance, land clearing, and right-of-way work.
Designed for standard flow skid steers (15 – 25 GPM), the mower features a commercial-grade deck, hardened blades, and a professionally spun stump jumper to protect the drivetrain while cutting through tough vegetation. With the hydraulic motor mounted directly to the gearbox, the Prime mower delivers reliable power transfer and long-term durability.
What makes this different from more expensive brush mowers?
This uses a simpler gearbox-driven setup instead of a high-end direct drive system, which keeps cost down while still delivering solid cutting performance.
Is this powerful enough for real clearing work?
Yes, it’s built to handle up to 3″ material, which covers most pasture clearing, trails, and property maintenance jobs.
Why is the motor mounted directly to the gearbox?
This setup improves efficiency and reduces power loss compared to designs with additional driveline components.
Will it hold up to regular use?
Yes, the commercial-grade deck, hardened blades, and reinforced runners are designed for repeated use in tough conditions.
Is this better for grass or brush?
It handles both, but it’s built more for brush and light clearing than finish mowing.
Do I need a high-flow machine?
No, this is designed specifically for standard flow skid steers running 15–25 GPM.
What’s the biggest limitation of this mower?
It’s not built for large trees or heavy land clearing. If you’re regularly cutting 5″+ material, you’d step up to a heavier or direct-drive mower.
The Prime Mower is designed to work with a wide range of equipment, as long as the machine is equipped with:
