The Maxx Attachments Skid Steer Bunk Sweep is a hydraulic broom attachment built for quickly clearing leftover feed, dirt, snow, and other debris from livestock bunks. Formerly part of the Dymax attachment line, it uses a high-torque, low-speed hydraulic motor and a 36-inch heavy-duty poly bristle broom to clean bunks without the labor of shoveling or sweeping by hand.
A manually adjustable arm and telescoping boom make it easier to position the broom for different bunk layouts and carrier sizes. The same setup can also be used for railroad and rail-yard sweeping, giving the attachment useful work beyond the feedlot.
Features
- 36″ Poly Bristle Broom: Heavy-duty poly bristles handle feed, dirt, snow, and debris in demanding agricultural conditions.
- High-Torque Hydraulic Motor: A low-speed hydraulic motor drives the sweeper head for steady cleaning performance.
- Manually Adjustable Arm: Lets the operator reposition the broom for different bunk shapes and working angles.
- Telescoping Boom: Adds reach and flexibility for varying bunk sizes and machine configurations.
- Feed Bunk Cleaning: Designed to clear leftover feed and debris quickly without extensive hand cleanup.
- Snow Removal: The broom can also clear snow from feed bunks and similar surfaces.
- Rail Sweeping Capability: Suitable for cleaning around railroad tracks and rail-yard areas in addition to agricultural use.
- Skid Steer and Loader Compatible: Designed for skid steers and small wheel loaders with the proper mount and hydraulic setup.

What is the Maxx Attachments Skid Steer Bunk Sweep used for?
It is designed to remove leftover feed, dirt, snow, and debris from livestock feed bunks using a hydraulically powered rotating broom.
How much hydraulic flow does it need?
The Skid Steer Bunk Sweep requires 10 GPM of hydraulic flow and a minimum hydraulic pressure of 1,750 PSI.
How large is the broom?
The heavy-duty poly broom has a 36-inch outside diameter and a 10-inch inside diameter.
Does the arm adjust for different feed bunks?
Yes. The arm is manually adjustable, and the support arm includes a telescoping boom to accommodate different bunk layouts and carrier configurations.
Can it remove snow from feed bunks?
Yes. Maxx lists snow removal as one of the Bunk Sweep’s uses.
Can it be used for anything besides livestock feed bunks?
Yes. The attachment can also be used for railroad and rail-yard sweeping where a hydraulically powered rotary broom is useful for clearing debris.
How much does the attachment weigh?
The Skid Steer Bunk Sweep weighs approximately 630 lb.
Will it fit a small wheel loader?
Yes. Maxx offers the Bunk Sweep for skid steers and small wheel loaders. The correct mount and hydraulic configuration should be confirmed for the specific carrier before ordering.
Is this the same bunk sweeper people may know from Dymax?
Yes. The former Dymax skid steer attachment line is now sold and supported as Maxx Attachments.
Note: Because the Feed Bunk Sweeper only requires 10 GPM and weighs about 630 lb., it can work with a wide range of skid steers, compact track loaders, and small wheel loaders. The exact carrier still needs the proper mount and at least 1,750 PSI of hydraulic pressure, so fitment should be confirmed for the machine being used.
