The Prime Attachments Skid Steer Stump Bucket is built for digging out stumps, cutting through roots, trenching, and working in tight areas where a standard bucket is too wide. Its long, tapered profile concentrates your skid steer’s digging force into a narrow cutting path, making it easier to get underneath roots, rocks, and compacted material.
Reinforced sidewalls, full-length wear strips, and replaceable digging teeth give the bucket the durability needed for repeated land-clearing and excavation work. With no hydraulic components to connect, it is a simple, purpose-built attachment for operators who need more reach and leverage from their skid steer.

What is the Prime Attachments Skid Steer Stump Bucket designed for?
The Stump Bucket is designed for digging out stumps and small trees, cutting through roots, trenching, and working in narrow areas where a standard bucket is too wide.
How does a stump bucket help remove stumps?
The long, narrow bucket lets you dig around the stump and work underneath the root system with more concentrated force than a standard bucket. The replaceable digging teeth and serrated edges help break through roots as you loosen the stump.
Can I use the Stump Bucket for trenching?
Yes. Its narrow, tapered shape also makes it useful for digging trenches and other narrow excavations where you do not need the width of a standard dirt bucket.
How wide is the bucket?
The digging portion starts at approximately 16″ wide and tapers down to 12″, helping the bucket penetrate the ground and work between roots and other obstacles.
Are the digging teeth replaceable?
Yes. The Stump Bucket uses three replaceable excavator-style digging teeth, so worn teeth can be serviced without replacing the bucket.
Does the Stump Bucket require auxiliary hydraulics?
No. There are no hydraulic functions on the standard Stump Bucket. It operates through your skid steer’s loader arms and tilt function.
What is the difference between the Stump Bucket and Stump Bucket Grapple?
The standard Stump Bucket is designed strictly for digging, prying, and trenching. The Stump Bucket Grapple adds a hydraulic grapple so you can secure and carry stumps, logs, rocks, and other material after loosening it.
Can the Stump Bucket be used for rocks and buried roots too?
Yes. Although stump removal is one of its primary uses, the narrow bucket and digging teeth also make it useful for working around buried roots, embedded rocks, compacted soil, and other stubborn material.
Will the Stump Bucket fit my skid steer?
It uses a universal skid steer quick-attach plate, but you should still verify your machine’s coupler, rated operating capacity, and overall suitability before purchasing.
Note: Compatibility depends on your machine’s quick-attach mounting system, rated operating capacity, machine weight, and intended application. Always verify your own skid steer or compact track loader specifications before ordering. A model appearing below does not guarantee compatibility with every year or configuration.

Put more digging force into a smaller area.
The narrow bucket profile concentrates your skid steer’s power into a smaller cutting path, helping you work through roots and compacted ground without excavating a much wider area.
Get underneath stubborn roots and stumps.
The long bucket gives you additional reach for digging around and below root systems, while serrated edges and replaceable teeth help break material loose.
Dig more than stumps.
The same narrow profile works well for trenching, digging around rocks, loosening buried roots, and other jobs where a full-width bucket is too bulky.
Keep the setup simple.
With no hydraulic cylinders or hoses to connect, the Stump Bucket attaches and works like a standard bucket while giving you a much more specialized digging shape.
