Maxx Attachments | Skid Steer Side Dump Bucket
Estimated shipping only — your final shipping cost is confirmed at checkout.
The Maxx Attachments Side Dump Bucket gives skid steers and compact track loaders another way to place material when a conventional forward dump is awkward or requires too much repositioning. Depending on the configuration, the bucket hydraulically dumps to either the left or right, making it especially useful along trenches, walls, structures, and other confined work areas.
Formerly part of the Dymax attachment line, the Side Dump Bucket is available in 0.60, 0.75, and 1.12 cu. yd. capacities. It can also dump forward for normal bucket work, so the attachment can handle everyday loading and material movement while adding the flexibility of controlled side placement.

What does a side dump bucket do?
A side dump bucket lets the operator discharge material to one side of the machine instead of relying only on a conventional forward dump. That makes material placement easier along trenches, walls, structures, and other tight work areas.
Can the bucket still dump forward?
Yes. The Maxx Attachments Side Dump Bucket can still be used like a conventional bucket and dumped forward when side dumping is not needed.
Should I choose left-side or right-side dump?
Choose the direction that best matches how the machine will normally approach and place material on the job. Left- and right-side versions are separate configurations.
What capacities are available?
The Side Dump Bucket is available in 0.60, 0.75, and 1.12 cu. yd. capacities. That works out to approximately 16.2, 20.25, and 30.24 cu. ft., respectively.
What materials can it handle?
Maxx designs the bucket for materials such as sand, gravel, loose dirt, and rock.
How much does the bucket weigh?
Depending on capacity, the bucket weighs from approximately 1,250 to 1,490 lb.
Does the side dump use hydraulics?
Yes. The bucket uses a heavy-duty hydraulic cylinder to operate the side-dump function.
What keeps the bucket secure when it is not side dumping?
The design includes a hydraulic lock valve and a mechanical lock.
Is there an option for heavier rock work?
Yes. Maxx offers an optional rock rack and V-type cutting edge for more demanding rock-loading applications.
Is this the same side dump bucket people may know from Dymax?
Yes. The former Dymax attachment line is now sold and supported as Maxx Attachments.
Note: Because these buckets weigh between 1,250 and 1,490 lb. before material is added, the exact machine match matters. Carrier lift capacity, tipping load, hydraulic capability, bucket capacity, and the density of the material being handled should all be considered before choosing a configuration.

The Maxx Attachments Side Dump Bucket is covered by Maxx’s limited manufacturer warranty. Structural components are covered for 12 months, while moving and hydraulic components are covered for 6 months against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Normal wear from regular operation is not covered as a manufacturing defect.
Place Material with Less Repositioning
Side dumping makes it easier to unload alongside trenches, walls, structures, and other obstacles where a straight-ahead dump can be awkward.
Use It for Everyday Bucket Work
Forward-dump capability keeps the attachment useful for normal loading and material handling instead of limiting it to specialty side-dump jobs.
Match Capacity to the Carrier
Three bucket sizes make it easier to balance material capacity with the weight and capabilities of the machine.
Work More Easily in Tight Areas
Dumping to the side can reduce the amount of maneuvering needed in congested work zones and confined spaces.
- Trench filling
- Road construction
- Utility work
- Tight construction sites
- Sand and gravel handling
- Aggregate handling
- Loose dirt
- Material placement alongside walls
- Confined work areas
- Jobs where frequent machine repositioning is difficult
