The Brush Wolf Open Front Compact Brush Cutter is designed for compact utility loaders, mini skid steers, and smaller skid steers that need real cutting performance in tight spaces. Built with the same core components as larger Brush Wolf cutters, this unit delivers strong cutting power in a lighter, more maneuverable package.
The open front design allows the blades to engage material before it reaches the deck, improving efficiency when cutting brush and small saplings. Available in 42 inch and 48 inch models, this cutter is ideal for working in confined areas like fence lines, trails, and around buildings while still handling material up to 4 inches in diameter with the 4801 SF.
What machines is this designed for?
This is built specifically for mini skid steers and compact utility loaders, not full-size skid steers.
What size material can it handle?
It can cut brush and saplings up to about 4″ depending on material type and machine power.
Do I need high flow to run this?
No, it is designed to run on low to standard flow machines between 8–25 GPM.
Why choose an open front cutter?
Open front designs allow the blades to contact material first, cutting faster and more efficiently.
Is this good for tight areas?
Yes, this is one of the best options for tight access jobs like backyards, trails, and fence lines.
Can this replace a larger brush cutter?
It’s not meant to replace heavy-duty skid steer cutters, but it excels where access is limited.
Who is this best for?
This is ideal for contractors, landscapers, and property owners working in tight or restricted areas.
