Estimated shipping only — your final shipping cost is confirmed at checkout.
The Maxx Attachments 38″ XD Skid Steer Tree Saw is an extreme-duty tree saw built to cut through hardwoods and softwoods, including cedar, hedge, mesquite, and locust. A high-performance piston motor drives a 38″ diameter, 3/4″ thick cutting disc with 12 replaceable carbide teeth, cutting trees up to 14″ in diameter. The XD motor system is rated to deliver 40% more torque than competing tree saws, which also helps reduce skid steer overheating.
The tree saw is available in four models: fixed boom or hydraulic swing boom, each in a medium-flow (26–33 GPM) or high-flow (33–41 GPM) version. The fixed boom models are lighter and simpler for straightforward clearing. The swing boom models pivot the saw arm left and right from the cab, letting the operator reach trees without repositioning the machine and helping minimize ground disturbance. All models mount with a universal skid steer quick attach and require a case drain connection.
Features
- 38″ Extreme-Duty Cutting Disc: A 3/4″ thick disc cuts trees up to 14″ in diameter.

What is the difference between the fixed boom and swing boom models?
The fixed boom models hold the saw in a set position and weigh about 1,350–1,370 lbs. The swing boom models add a hydraulic cylinder that pivots the saw arm left and right from the cab, and weigh about 1,540–1,560 lbs. The swing boom reaches trees without repositioning the machine, which reduces ground disturbance.
Which flow model do I need?
Choose the medium-flow model (6700D1 or 6777D1) if your machine delivers 26–33 GPM, or the high-flow model (7443D1 or 7534D1) if it delivers 33–41 GPM. Matching the saw to your machine’s flow gives the best cutting performance.
What size trees can it cut?
All four models use a 38″ disc that cuts trees up to 14″ in diameter, including hardwoods like hedge, mesquite, and locust.
Does it require a case drain?
Yes. All models require a case drain connection to the machine. Confirm that your machine has a case drain port before ordering.
Are hoses and couplers included?
Hoses are included with all models. Couplers are not, so you’ll need couplers that match your machine.
Can I adjust how fast the swing boom moves?
Yes. Needle valves in the swing circuit let you adjust swing speed.
How is the swing boom controlled?
The swing boom is electrically controlled and comes with a wire harness. Optional 7-pin or 14-pin plug connections are available to match your machine’s electrical system. The fixed boom models do not require an electrical connection.
Are the cutting teeth replaceable?
Yes. The disc uses 12 square carbide teeth held on with bolts and locknuts, so individual teeth can be replaced as they wear.
Does my skid steer need a forestry door?
Yes. The machine must have an operator protective door and a rollover protective structure (ROPS) when running the tree saw.
How far should bystanders stay back?
Keep bystanders at least 100 feet away from the tree saw while it’s operating.
Can I add a sprayer?
Yes. An optional 5-gallon chemical sprayer system is available for all models to apply herbicide or stump treatment while cutting.
What maintenance does it need?
Check the carbide teeth, hoses, and fittings regularly. On the swing boom models, grease the boom pivot every 10–12 hours of operation.
Where is it made?
Maxx Attachments tree saws are made in the USA.
Note: Medium-flow models require 26–33 GPM and high-flow models require 33–41 GPM of auxiliary hydraulic flow. All models also require a case drain port and a machine with an operator protective door and ROPS. Confirm your machine’s specifications before ordering.

The Maxx Attachments 38″ XD Skid Steer Tree Saw is backed by Maxx’s limited manufacturer warranty. Structural components are covered for 12 months, and moving parts and hydraulic components are covered for 6 months. Wear items, such as carbide teeth, are not covered unless defective, and the product must be registered with Maxx for the warranty to apply. If a warranty issue comes up, contact Echo Eqpt, and we’ll help you start the claims process with Maxx.
Faster Land Clearing
The high-torque piston motor and 38″ disc cut trees cleanly at ground level, clearing brush and small trees quickly.
A Model for Your Machine
Medium-flow and high-flow versions let you match the saw to your skid steer’s hydraulics for the best cutting performance.
Choose the Setup That Fits the Job
The fixed boom keeps weight and complexity down, while the swing boom adds reach for tight spaces and sensitive ground.
Built for Tough Wood
The extreme-duty disc and carbide teeth handle hardwoods like hedge, mesquite, and locust that wear down lighter saws.
Easier Maintenance
Bolt-on carbide teeth can be replaced individually, keeping the saw cutting without replacing the whole disc.
