The SHIELDS New Holland Deluxe Cab polycarbonate windshield replaces the factory front glass on select New Holland C, L, LS, and LT Series skid steers and compact track loaders. Three windshield styles are available, identified as 938, 988, and 989, to match the different factory windshield shapes and mounting-hole patterns used on these machines.

Available in 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ clear polycarbonate, with a 1/2″ tinted option also available, each windshield is formed to match the OEM glass and works with the original mounting hardware. SUPERCOAT™ is applied to both sides for abrasion resistance, UV protection, and windshield wiper use.

Which New Holland machines does this windshield fit?

This windshield fits a range of New Holland Deluxe Cab skid steers and compact track loaders, including C, L, LS, and LT Series machines. Because multiple windshield designs were used, confirm the windshield version and OEM glass number before ordering.

How do I know which windshield style I need?

Compare your existing windshield to the 938, 988, and 989 reference image, paying attention to the overall shape and mounting-hole locations. When available, confirm your choice using the OEM glass number: 938 corresponds to #87639938, 988 to #87746988, and 989 to #87746989.

Why are there three windshield versions?

New Holland Deluxe Cab machines can use one of three windshield designs. SHIELDS identifies them as 938, 988, and 989, corresponding to OEM glass numbers 87639938, 87746988, and 87746989.

How do I know which windshield version I need?

Check the OEM glass number on your existing windshield and compare the windshield shape and mounting-hole pattern. The machine model alone may not identify the correct version.

What thicknesses are available?

The windshield is available in 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ clear polycarbonate.

Is a tinted windshield available?

Yes. Tint is available in 1/2″ polycarbonate with 50% light transmission. The tint is built into the material rather than applied as a film.

Can I use the factory windshield wiper?

Yes. SUPERCOAT™ is designed for abrasion resistance while allowing normal windshield wiper use.

Can I reuse the original mounting hardware?

Yes. The windshield is formed and machined around the OEM design so the original hardware can be reused when the correct windshield version is selected.

Can I apply aftermarket tint film?

SHIELDS does not recommend aftermarket tint film because SUPERCOAT™ resists adhesives, which can cause films and decals to peel.

Is the 1/2″ windshield a forestry-rated door?

No forestry or ballistic rating should be assumed from thickness alone. Confirm the protection requirements for your machine and application before use.

Note: New Holland used three different Deluxe Cab windshield designs. Use the comparison image to match your existing windshield to style 938, 988, or 989, then confirm the OEM glass number when possible.
