The Trackbar System is built to help get a thrown rubber track back on a CTL without turning a field repair into an all-day job. The three steel Trackbars attach across the track and use the machine’s own track movement to help guide the rubber track back around the idler, giving operators a purpose-built alternative to wrestling with a heavy track using pry bars alone.
Designed to fit full-size compact track loaders across major brands, Trackbar works with different track widths and tread patterns and can be used for both track installation and removal. Keep a set in the shop, service truck, or with the machine for faster CTL track repairs and less downtime when a track comes off on the job.

What does the Trackbar system do?
The Trackbar system helps remove or reinstall rubber tracks on compact track loaders. The three bars attach over the track tread so rotation of the track can help guide it onto or off of the idler.
Does the set include all three bars?
Yes. One order includes the complete three-bar Trackbar system.
Will Trackbars fit different CTL brands?
Yes. Trackbar designed the system as a universal fit for current full-size compact track loaders rather than for one specific machine brand.
Does track width matter?
No specific track width is required. The system is designed to accommodate the different track widths and tread patterns used on full-size CTLs.
Can I use it on a mini skid steer or mini track loader?
No. The current Trackbar is intended for full-size compact track loaders. Trackbar is developing a smaller system for mini skid steers and other smaller rubber-tracked equipment.
Can the Trackbar be used to remove a track as well as reinstall one?
Yes. The same system can assist with controlled track removal and with getting a thrown or removed track back onto the machine.
Does the Trackbar eliminate the need for a pry bar?
Not necessarily. Trackbar’s installation procedure may still use a pry bar or similar leverage tool to help position the track once the bars have moved it around the idler.
How many people are needed to use it?
The Trackbar system is designed to make the job manageable for a single operator when proper lifting, track-tension, and machine-service procedures are followed.
How long does track installation take?
Trackbar states that the system can get a machine back up and running in as little as about 15 minutes. Actual time will vary depending on the machine, track position, ground conditions, and operator experience.
Do I need to release track tension first?
Yes. Track tension needs to be relieved according to the compact track loader manufacturer’s service procedure before attempting removal or installation.
Are there safety precautions when using Trackbars?
Yes. The machine must be properly raised and secured, track tension relieved correctly, and hands and body kept clear of the track and undercarriage while the track is being rotated. Always follow the CTL manufacturer’s service and lifting procedures.
Note: Trackbar is designed as a universal system for full-size rubber-track compact track loaders, regardless of track width or tread pattern. It is not the current solution for mini skid steers or smaller mini track loaders.

Reduce Downtime After a Thrown Track
A track coming off can stop an entire job. Keeping the Trackbar system available gives operators a purpose-built way to work the track back onto the machine instead of immediately waiting for outside service.
Use the Machine to Help Do the Work
The three-bar system takes advantage of the CTL’s track rotation to guide the rubber track around the idler, reducing the amount of manual wrestling normally involved in repositioning a heavy track.
One System for a CTL Fleet
Because the bars are not tied to one specific track width or tread pattern, a single system can be useful across mixed fleets with different compact track loader brands.
Keep a Track Tool With the Machine
At approximately 15 Lbs. per bar, the three-piece system can be stored with service equipment and kept available for field repairs, fleet maintenance, and planned track changes.
- Compact track loader owners
- Excavation contractors
- Landscaping contractors
- Forestry and land-clearing crews
- Construction companies
- Rental fleets
- Equipment dealers
- Mobile service crews
- Farm and acreage operators
- Fleet maintenance
- Field track repair
- Rubber track replacement
