The Brush Wolf Alpha Brush Cutter is an extreme-duty skid steer mower built for serious land clearing and vegetation control. Designed for high-power machines, the Alpha uses a direct-drive radial piston motor and heavy bearing housing to deliver exceptional torque and cutting performance.
With the ability to cut brush and trees up to 10 inches in diameter, this mower is built for contractors, land management crews, and property owners tackling dense vegetation and heavy clearing projects.
Available in both standard flow and high-flow configurations, the Alpha series provides the durability and cutting power needed for demanding brush clearing jobs.
What makes the Alpha Series different from standard brush cutters?
This is an extreme-duty cutter with a radial piston motor and heavier build designed to handle larger material and tougher conditions.
Do I need a high-flow skid steer to run it?
Not necessarily, HD models run on 23–32 GPM, while XP models are built for high-flow machines up to 45 GPM.
How big of material can it actually cut?
It’s rated for up to 10″ diameter trees and heavy brush, making it one of the more aggressive cutters in its class.
What’s the difference between 3-blade and 4-blade carriers?
3-blade setups are more aggressive for clearing, while 4-blade carriers give a cleaner finish and better mulching.
Why is a radial piston motor important?
It delivers higher torque and better recovery, so the cutter doesn’t bog down in thick material.
Is this overkill for light brush?
Yes, this is built for heavy work, but it can still handle lighter material quickly if you want maximum productivity.
Who is this best for?
This is ideal for contractors, land clearing crews, and operators who regularly deal with heavy brush and trees.
Designed for skid steers and track loaders, especially mid-size to large machines with sufficient hydraulic flow.
