The Brush Wolf Open Front Standard-Duty Brush Cutter is a versatile skid steer attachment designed for cutting grass, brush, and small saplings in everyday property maintenance and light land clearing applications. Built with an open-front deck design, this mower allows the blades to engage material before it is pushed down, improving cutting efficiency and speed.
Designed as a more economical option compared to heavier-duty models, the standard-duty series still delivers reliable performance with a Geroler-style hydraulic motor and right-angle gearbox drive system. Available in 60 inch and 72 inch cutting widths, this mower is ideal for operators running 10–25 GPM machines and looking for a solid, dependable cutter without stepping into heavy-duty pricing.
What makes an open front cutter different?
The open front design lets the blades contact material first, making it easier to cut standing brush and saplings.
What size material can this realistically handle?
It’s built for light to medium clearing and can handle brush and trees up to about 4″ diameter.
Do I need a high-flow skid steer?
No, this is designed for standard flow machines between 10–25 GPM.
Is this good for heavy land clearing?
It can handle moderate work, but for consistent heavy clearing you would step up to a heavy-duty or Alpha model.
Why is this cheaper than other Brush Wolf cutters?
It uses the same core drive components but removes heavier structural features to keep cost down.
Will it leave a clean finish?
It’s more focused on clearing than finish, but it will still mulch and break down material effectively.
Who is this best for?
This is ideal for property maintenance, fence lines, light land clearing, and occasional brush work.
Designed for standard flow skid steers and compact track loaders
