The TM Manufacturing Pro 1 Skid Steer Log Splitter is built for operators who split a lot of wood and want a heavier production splitter without paying for the Pro 2 interchangeable wedge system. It is a strong fit for tree service companies, firewood operations, outdoor wood boiler owners, farms, acreages, and cleanup crews that want to lift, position, and split logs from the skid steer seat.
The Pro 1 keeps the setup simple with a fixed Pro Series wedge, viewing window, and three available stroke lengths. It gives you the commercial splitter build TM is known for, but without the tool-free wedge swapping found on the Pro 2. Choose the Pro 1 when you want a serious skid steer log splitter and do not need to change between single, 4-way, and 6-way wedge heads. Optional Regen Valve to 33% Faster Splitting.
What is the difference between the Pro 1 and Pro 2?
The Pro 1 uses a fixed Pro Series wedge. The Pro 2 adds the patented interchangeable wedge system for switching between different splitting heads.
Does the Pro 1 have interchangeable wedges?
No. That is the main difference. Choose the Pro 1 if you want a simpler production splitter. Choose the Pro 2 if you want tool-free wedge changes.
What stroke lengths are available?
The Pro 1 is available in 24″, 30″, and 36″ stroke lengths.
Which stroke length should I choose?
Choose 24″ for shorter firewood, 30″ for a strong all-around setup, and 36″ for longer wood or outdoor boiler lengths.
What cylinder size should I choose?
The 24″ model uses a 4″ cylinder. The 30″ and 36″ models can be set up with a 4.5″ or 5″ cylinder. The larger cylinder gives more splitting force, while the smaller cylinder can help cycle faster depending on hydraulic flow.
Does it require high flow?
Not necessarily. Like most skid steer splitters, hydraulic flow affects cycle speed and pressure affects splitting force. Match the splitter to your machine’s hydraulic setup.
Who should buy the Pro 1?
The Pro 1 is a good fit for operators who split a lot of wood and want a commercial skid steer splitter, but do not need to swap wedge heads throughout the day.
Does it have a viewing window?
Yes. The Pro 1 includes the viewing window, which helps line up logs and watch the split from the cab.
Note: Best matched with skid steers and compact track loaders with universal skid steer quick attach, auxiliary hydraulics, enough lift capacity, and enough hydraulic flow for the cycle speed you want.

Pro Series Splitting Power
Built for operators splitting large volumes of wood, including tree services, firewood sellers, farms, and outdoor boiler users.
Simpler Than the Pro 2
The Pro 1 gives you the Pro Series build without the interchangeable wedge system, keeping the setup more straightforward.
Split From the Cab
Use the skid steer to lift, position, and split logs instead of wrestling rounds onto a standalone splitter by hand.
Three Stroke Options
Available in 24″, 30″, and 36″ stroke lengths so you can match the splitter to your wood length and machine setup.
At ECHO Equipment, we actually use and support the equipment we sell. You’re not getting generic answers - you’re talking to people who understand how this equipment works in the field. That means faster answers, better recommendations, and no wasted time trying to figure things out on your own.
We’re easy to work with. If something breaks, tell us what actually happened and be honest with us (a good sense of humor doesn’t hurt either). We’re often known to help out even outside of standard warranty terms. And if it’s on us, we’ll own it and make it right. No excuses, no finger pointing - just real support when it matters.
