Wallenstein | WX Series Skid Steer Log Splitter
Estimated shipping only — your final shipping cost is confirmed at checkout.
The Wallenstein WX410 and WX430 are inverted horizontal skid steer log splitters designed to let you pick up, position, and split rounds directly from the cab. Both models use universal quick attach, include hydraulic hoses and couplers, and feature a wide wedge with block stripper plates for efficient firewood processing without repeatedly lifting logs onto a conventional splitter bed.
The WX410 delivers 20 tons of splitting force with a 24″ opening and faster cycle times, making it a strong fit for standard firewood production. The WX430 increases capacity to 25 tons with a 36″ opening, larger cylinder, and taller wedge for longer rounds, oversized wood, and outdoor furnace firewood.
Features
- Inverted Horizontal Design: Pick up, position, and split logs using the carrier machine instead of manually loading rounds onto a splitter bed.
- Two Capacity Options: Choose the WX410 with 20 tons of force and a 24″ opening or the WX430 with 25 tons and a 36″ opening.
- Universal Quick Attach: Both models mount to compatible full-size skid steers and compact track loaders.
- Wide Splitting Wedge: Helps open the wood earlier in the splitting stroke.
- Block Stripper Plates: Help release wood that remains caught on the wedge during retraction.
- Direct Pressure: Splitting force is applied directly through the hydraulic cylinder and wedge assembly.
- Hydraulic Hoses and Couplers Included: Both models include the hydraulic connections needed for operation.
- Optional 4-Way Wedge: The WX410 accepts the W4120 4-Way Wedge, while the WX430 accepts the W4130.
- Multiple Color Options: Available in Black, Blue, Orange, Red, Yellow, Grey, Green, and Realtree APX Camo.

What is the main difference between the WX410 and WX430?
The WX410 provides 20 tons of splitting force with a 24″ opening, while the WX430 provides 25 tons with a 36″ opening. The WX430 also uses a larger 4.5″ cylinder and 10″ wedge.
Which model is better for standard firewood?
The WX410 is a good fit for standard firewood up to 24″ long and offers significantly faster cycle times than the WX430.
Which model is better for longer firewood?
The WX430 is designed for rounds up to 36″ long, making it better suited to longer firewood and outdoor wood furnace applications.
Which model cycles faster?
The WX410 has a 6.62-second average cycle time and 13.24-second full cycle. The WX430 has an 11.43-second average cycle and 22.86-second full cycle. Actual speed depends on hydraulic flow from the carrier machine.
How much hydraulic flow do they need?
The WX410 is recommended for 10 GPM, while the WX430 is recommended for 13 GPM.
Can these log splitters be used on compact track loaders?
Yes. Both models use Universal Quick Attach and can be used on compatible skid steers and compact track loaders with suitable auxiliary hydraulics.
Can the splitter pick logs up from the ground?
Yes. The inverted configuration lets you position the splitter over a round, pick it up, move it, and split it using the loader and auxiliary hydraulic controls.
Are hydraulic hoses and couplers included?
Yes. Both models include hydraulic hoses and couplers.
Is a 4-way wedge available?
Yes. The WX410 uses the W4120 4-Way Wedge, and the WX430 uses the W4130 4-Way Wedge.
What colors are available?
Black, Blue, Orange, Red, Yellow, Grey, Green, and Realtree APX Camo are available.
Note: Both models use Universal Quick Attach. Verify the machine’s mounting interface, auxiliary hydraulic flow and pressure, couplers, operating capacity, and configuration before ordering. The WX410 is recommended for 10 GPM, while the WX430 is recommended for 13 GPM.

Cab-Operated Firewood Processing
The inverted design lets the machine handle much of the lifting and positioning work, reducing the need to repeatedly lift heavy rounds onto a conventional splitter.
Two Models for Different Wood Lengths
The WX410 combines a 24″ opening with faster cycle times for standard firewood. The WX430 adds a 36″ opening and more splitting force for longer and more demanding rounds.
Move and Position Rounds While You Work
Because the splitter is loader-mounted, you can pick up and reposition wood while processing a pile rather than working from a fixed splitter location.
Runs From Carrier Hydraulics
Both models use the skid steer or compact track loader’s auxiliary hydraulic system, eliminating the separate engine and fuel system found on self-contained splitters.

- Farms and acreages
- Rural properties
- Tree-care operations
- Storm cleanup
- Outdoor wood furnace users
