Estimated shipping only — your final shipping cost is confirmed at checkout.
The Prime Attachments Rock + Stump Ripper Grapple is built for skid steer operators who need to dig, pry, grab, and move stubborn material with one attachment. The narrow ripper profile and serrated teeth help work through roots, hard ground, and embedded rocks, while the hydraulic grapple gives you control of stumps, root balls, logs, and debris once they are loose.
It’s a great fit for land clearing, storm cleanup, fence-line work, and property maintenance where switching attachments slows the job down. Rip around the obstacle, break it free, clamp onto it, and carry it away without leaving the machine.

What is the Prime Attachments Rock + Stump Ripper Grapple designed for?
The Rock + Stump Ripper Grapple is designed for skid steer operators working with stubborn stumps, roots, rocks, logs, and other difficult material. The ripper helps loosen and extract the material, while the hydraulic grapple lets you grab and move it with the same attachment.
What is the difference between the Rock + Stump Ripper and the Rock + Stump Ripper Grapple?
The standard Rock + Stump Ripper is a non-hydraulic attachment built for ripping, digging, and prying. The Rock + Stump Ripper Grapple adds a hydraulic grapple so you can secure and carry rocks, stumps, roots, logs, and debris after working them loose.
How wide does the grapple open?
Prime lists a 45″ grapple opening, providing room to secure bulky and irregular material.
Can it remove both rocks and stumps?
Yes. The ripper can be worked underneath and around embedded rocks and stump roots to loosen them from the ground. Once the material is free, the hydraulic grapple helps secure it for removal.
Why add a grapple to a stump ripper?
The grapple lets you go from digging to material handling without changing attachments. Once a stump, root ball, rock, or piece of debris is loose, you can grab it and carry it away with the same skid steer attachment.
Can the grapple handle logs and root balls too?
Yes. The grapple is useful for logs, root balls, broken stumps, rocks, and other irregular material encountered during land clearing and property cleanup.
Does the Rock + Stump Ripper Grapple require auxiliary hydraulics?
Yes. Auxiliary hydraulics are required to operate the grapple cylinder.
Does it require high-flow hydraulics?
Prime does not specify high flow as a requirement. The grapple operates from the skid steer’s auxiliary hydraulics, but you should verify your machine’s hydraulic specifications and connections before purchasing.
How much does the Rock + Stump Ripper Grapple weigh?
The attachment weighs 600 lb. Your skid steer also needs enough rated operating capacity and stability for the attachment plus whatever material you intend to lift and carry.
Will the Rock + Stump Ripper Grapple fit my skid steer?
It is designed for skid steers and compact track loaders using a universal skid steer quick-attach system. Mounting style alone does not determine suitability, so always check your machine’s operating capacity, hydraulics, weight, and intended application before ordering.
Note: Compatibility depends on your skid steer’s quick-attach mounting system, rated operating capacity, auxiliary hydraulics, machine weight, and intended application. Always check your own machine’s specifications before purchasing. A model appearing below does not guarantee compatibility with every year or configuration.

Prime Attachments provides a two-year manufacturer warranty on attachment welds, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and exclusions.
Rip it loose and carry it away.
The hydraulic grapple turns the ripper into a complete removal tool. Once you have loosened a stump, rock, root, or piece of debris, you can grab it and move it without switching skid steer attachments.
Put your skid steer’s force where it matters.
The narrow ripper design concentrates digging force into stubborn roots, rocks, and compacted ground instead of spreading it across the full width of a bucket.
Get control over awkward material.
Stumps, root balls, logs, rocks, and demolition debris rarely come out of the ground in convenient shapes. The hydraulic grapple gives you a way to secure those irregular loads before lifting and transporting them.
Do more with fewer attachment changes.
Digging, ripping, grabbing, and hauling can all be handled with one attachment, making it especially useful on land-clearing jobs where the work changes constantly.
- Skid steer stump removal
