The Stinger Attachments Wheel Loader Clam Grapple is built for land clearing, forestry, storm cleanup, demolition, and other jobs that involve bulky or uneven material. Two independently moving grapples can close at different positions across the load, giving the operator better control when grabbing logs, brush, root balls, rocks, and debris.
Available in 86″, 96″, and 107″ widths, the grapple uses 1/2″ AR200 tines, a 60″ opening, an enclosed back, and heavy hydraulic cylinders for high-use wheel loader applications. An interchangeable bolt-on mounting system allows it to be configured for compatible wheel loader carriers without rebuilding the entire attachment.
Features
- Independent Dual Grapples: Each grapple can close independently to conform around uneven or irregular loads.

What is the Wheel Loader Clam Grapple designed for?
It is designed for handling bulky and irregular material with wheel loaders, including logs, brush, root balls, rocks, storm debris, demolition material, and other difficult loads.
Do the two grapples move independently?
Yes. Each grapple section can close independently, allowing the attachment to conform around uneven loads instead of forcing both sides into the same position.
What sizes are available?
The Wheel Loader Clam Grapple is available in 86″, 96″, and 107″ widths.
How wide does the grapple open?
The grapple has a 60″ maximum opening.
What are the tines made from?
The grapple uses 1/2″ AR200 steel tines for abrasion resistance and durability in high-use material-handling applications.
Why are the tines spaced 10.5″ apart?
The spacing helps retain larger material such as logs, brush, rocks, and debris while allowing loose dirt and smaller material to fall through.
Does the grapple have an enclosed back?
Yes. The enclosed back helps keep material contained on the attachment side instead of allowing it to shift toward the wheel loader.
Does it require auxiliary hydraulics?
Yes. Auxiliary hydraulics are required to operate the two grapple sections.
What mounting options are available?
Stinger uses an interchangeable bolt-on mounting system and supports Universal Quick Attach and Construction ISO carriers. Exact mount and hydraulic coupler requirements should be verified for your wheel loader before ordering.
Can it handle logs and root balls?
Yes. Forestry, tree removal, land clearing, and storm cleanup are strong applications for this grapple. The independent grapples are especially useful when the material is irregularly shaped.
Can it be used for rocks and demolition debris?
Yes. The grapple can be used to handle rocks, concrete debris, wood waste, and other bulky material as long as the load remains within the wheel loader manufacturer’s operating limits.
How do I choose between the 86″, 96″, and 107″ sizes?
Consider your wheel loader’s width, lift capacity, operating weight, ballast, coupler, hydraulic system, and the type of material you regularly handle. Larger widths provide more working coverage but also increase attachment weight.
Note: Compatibility depends on your wheel loader’s coupler, hydraulic connections, lift capacity, operating weight, ballast, and the grapple size selected. The interchangeable bolt-on mount allows this grapple to be configured for multiple carriers, but the exact machine and mount should always be verified before ordering. A model appearing below is a compatibility suggestion and does not guarantee fitment for every year or configuration.
