Estimated shipping only — your final shipping cost is confirmed at checkout.
The SWAT Metal Works Light Duty Stump Buster is built for subcompact tractors that need more reach than the Mini version without stepping up to a heavier stump bucket. Its 24″ snout provides a focused digging point for getting underneath stumps, roots, rocks, and posts while keeping the attachment compact enough for smaller machines.
Built from 1/4″ A36 mild steel, the Light Duty Stump Buster features a replaceable AR400 cutting edge at the working end. The abrasion-resistant edge takes the brunt of contact with soil, roots, gravel, and rock and can be replaced as it wears instead of replacing the entire attachment.
Features
- Replaceable AR400 Cutting Edge: Abrasion-resistant AR400 steel protects the high-wear working edge and can be replaced when worn.

What is the SWAT Light Duty Stump Buster designed for?
It is designed for digging out stumps, roots, brush, rocks, and posts. Its pointed profile can also be useful for trenching and preparing holes for tree planting.
How is the Light Duty model different from the Mini Stump Buster?
The Light Duty model has a longer 24″ snout, giving it more digging reach than the 18″ Mini Stump Buster while remaining sized for smaller tractors.
What is the AR400 cutting edge?
AR400 is an abrasion-resistant steel designed for high-wear applications. Using it at the working edge gives the Stump Buster a more wear-resistant contact surface for repeated use in dirt, roots, gravel, and rock.
Is the AR400 cutting edge replaceable?
Yes. The Light Duty Stump Buster uses a replaceable AR400 cutting edge, so the wear component can be serviced without replacing the complete attachment.
What size tractor is the Light Duty Stump Buster designed for?
SWAT specifically sizes this model for subcompact tractors under 32 HP. Loader capacity and mounting configuration should still be verified before ordering.
Does it require auxiliary hydraulics?
No auxiliary hydraulic components are built into the attachment. It works through the loader’s normal lift and curl functions.
Can it be used for more than stump removal?
Yes. SWAT lists brush, boulder, and post removal, trench digging, and tree planting among its intended uses.
What mounting options are available?
The Light Duty Stump Buster is available with Skid Steer Quick Attach, John Deere Quick Attach, and Yanmar Quick Attach configurations.
What colors are available?
The Light Duty Stump Buster is available in Black, John Deere Green, and Kubota Orange.
Note: SWAT sizes the Light Duty Stump Buster specifically for machines under 32 HP. Fitment also depends on the attachment carrier installed on your machine. Verify mount type, loader capacity, ballast, and machine configuration before ordering.

Replaceable Wear Component
The AR400 cutting edge puts abrasion-resistant steel at one of the attachment’s highest-wear points. When the edge eventually wears, it can be replaced rather than requiring replacement of the complete attachment.
More Reach Than the Mini
The 24″ snout gives the Light Duty Stump Buster additional reach for working underneath stumps, roots, rocks, and other buried material while remaining appropriate for smaller tractors.
Built Around Subcompact Tractors
Its lighter construction and compact profile make it a practical stump-removal attachment for machines that do not need the weight and material thickness of SWAT’s heavier Stump Buster models.
Versatile Groundwork
The pointed, serrated design can handle more than stump removal, including brush clearing, post removal, trench digging, rock work, and planting.
- Stump and root removal
- Brush and sapling clearing
- Fence post removal
- Rock and boulder removal
- Narrow trenching
- Tree and shrub planting
- Acreage and property maintenance
- Subcompact tractors under 32 HP
