Upgrade the factory glass in your Bobcat R Series cab with a formed SHIELDS polycarbonate windshield designed to match the shape, mounting points, and function of the original glass. This windshield replaces Bobcat OEM glass #7303857 and #7435779 while allowing you to reuse the existing door hardware.
Choose from 1/4″, 3/8″, or 1/2″ polycarbonate, with a 50% tint option available in 1/2″. SHIELDS applies its proprietary SUPERCOAT™ to both sides for improved abrasion resistance, UV protection, and continued windshield-wiper use. This windshield does not replace Bobcat bolt-in OEM polycarbonate #7403907.
What Bobcat windshields does this replace?
This SHIELDS windshield replaces Bobcat OEM glass #7303857 and #7435779.
Does this replace Bobcat OEM polycarbonate #7403907?
No. SHIELDS specifically states that this windshield does not currently replace the bolt-in OEM polycarbonate version, part #7403907. If your machine already has that factory polycarbonate windshield, do not order this version as a direct replacement.
Can I use this to upgrade my original glass windshield to polycarbonate?
Yes. That is one of the primary uses for this windshield. It is formed and machined around the original glass configuration so you can replace the factory glass with coated polycarbonate while retaining the existing door hardware.
What thicknesses are available?
You can choose 1/4″, 3/8″, or 1/2″ polycarbonate.
Which thickness is available with tint?
The tinted version is offered in 1/2″ polycarbonate.
How dark is the tint?
SHIELDS specifies its tinted material at 50% light transmission.
Is the tint an applied film?
No. The material itself is tinted. SHIELDS does not recommend applying aftermarket tint film to SUPERCOAT™ because the coating resists adhesives.
Can I still use the windshield wiper?
Yes. SUPERCOAT™ is applied to both sides of the windshield to improve abrasion resistance and allow continued windshield-wiper use.
Will I need new mounting hardware?
Not when replacing the supported OEM glass configuration. SHIELDS machines the windshield around the factory mounting points so the original hardware can be reused.
Is the windshield curved?
Yes. It is formed to follow the original Bobcat R Series glass windshield shape.
Will this fit every Bobcat R Series machine?
No. Fitment must still be verified by model, OEM glass number, door configuration, and what material is currently installed. In particular, machines equipped with Bobcat bolt-in OEM polycarbonate #7403907 require a different product that SHIELDS does not currently offer.
Is this windshield ballistic-rated or certified for operator protection?
No. SHIELDS does not assign a ballistic rating to these windshields and does not warrant them as meeting a particular safety code or protection requirement.

SHIELDS does not warrant its polycarbonate products for a particular end-use application, safety-code requirement, or ballistic protection.
