The SHIELDS JCB Polycarbonate Skid Steer Windshield is a formed replacement for several common JCB front windshield configurations, including OEM glass #402/P5831, #400/E8646, and #332/X5157. Available in 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ thicknesses, with a 50% tint option in 1/2″, each windshield is coated on both sides with SHIELDS SUPERCOAT™ for abrasion resistance, UV protection, and continued windshield-wiper use. Different configurations are available for JCB machines with side-mounted or bottom-mounted wipers, as well as gasket or glue-in installation styles.

What JCB windshield does this replace?
This windshield is designed around JCB glass #402/P5831. Verify the existing windshield and part number before ordering because some compatible JCB machine models were produced with other windshield configurations.
Can I upgrade my original JCB glass windshield to polycarbonate?
Yes. If your machine uses JCB glass #402/P5831, you can choose 1/4″, 3/8″, or 1/2″ SHIELDS polycarbonate.
What if my machine already has a polycarbonate windshield?
If you are replacing the corresponding bolt-on OEM polycarbonate windshield or an existing SHIELDS polycarbonate windshield, select the 1/2″ version.
Why isn’t the machine model alone enough to confirm fitment?
JCB used multiple windshield configurations across some of the same machine models. A machine that appears in this product’s fitment list may also use another JCB windshield configuration, so the existing windshield shape, mounting setup, and OEM number should be verified.
What thicknesses are available?
When replacing the supported glass windshield, you can choose 1/4″, 3/8″, or 1/2″ polycarbonate.
Which thickness is available with tint?
Tint is available with the 1/2″ windshield.
How dark is the tint?
SHIELDS specifies the tinted polycarbonate at 50% light transmission.
Is the tint an applied film?
No. The material itself is tinted rather than using an applied window film.
Can I use the windshield wiper?
Yes. SUPERCOAT™ is applied to both sides to provide abrasion resistance for normal cleaning and windshield-wiper use.
Does this fit every JCB 3TS-8T?
No. The 3TS-8T is one of the models with overlapping windshield configurations. Confirm that your machine uses the #402/P5831 configuration rather than ordering by model number alone.
Is this the same windshield as the JCB side-wiper or bottom-wiper versions?
No. Those are different windshield configurations. This product is specifically for the configuration associated with JCB glass #402/P5831 and its corresponding supported polycarbonate setup.
Is this windshield ballistic-rated or certified for operator protection?
No. SHIELDS does not assign a ballistic rating to this windshield or warrant it for a particular safety-code or bodily-protection requirement.
Note: This windshield is designed for the JCB configuration associated with OEM glass #402/P5831 and the corresponding supported polycarbonate configuration. JCB used multiple windshield setups on some of the same machine models, so model alone does not guarantee fitment. Verify the OEM glass number, windshield shape, mounting configuration, and material currently installed before ordering. If replacing an existing OEM or SHIELDS polycarbonate windshield, use the 1/2″ version.
Common Compatible Machines
JCB: 2TS-7T, 3TS-8T, 4TS-8T, 250T, 290T, 400T
SHIELDS provides a limited manufacturer warranty covering qualifying manufacturing defects. Products should be inspected and fitment confirmed before installation or use.
SHIELDS does not warrant its polycarbonate products for a particular end-use application, safety-code requirement, or ballistic protection. If you have a warranty question or claim, contact us and we’ll help connect you with SHIELDS and get the process started.
Upgrade factory glass to polycarbonate.
Replace the supported #402/P5831 glass configuration with formed, coated polycarbonate while retaining the original windshield profile and cab setup.
Choose the thickness that fits your application.
Glass replacements are available in 1/4″, 3/8″, or 1/2″, with a tinted option available in 1/2″.
Keep using the windshield wiper.
SUPERCOAT™ helps resist scratching during normal cleaning and windshield-wiper use while also protecting the polycarbonate from UV-related hazing.
Replace the supported polycarbonate configuration too.
Machines equipped with the corresponding bolt-on OEM polycarbonate windshield, or an existing SHIELDS polycarbonate windshield, can use the 1/2″ replacement.
