The SWAT Metal Works Blank SSQA Plate gives fabricators a ready-made mounting base for building custom skid steer attachments, converting existing implements, or adding an SSQA interface to shop-built equipment. The full-size plate is available in 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ thicknesses so you can choose the material that fits the attachment you’re building.
Choose a standard blank plate or a version with an integrated chain slot for an additional attachment point. Both styles use standard Skid Steer Quick Attach geometry and come unfinished for fabrication.
What is a blank SSQA plate used for?
A blank SSQA plate provides the machine-side mounting interface for fabricating a custom attachment or converting an existing implement to Skid Steer Quick Attach.
What thicknesses are available?
The SWAT Blank SSQA Plate is available in 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″ thicknesses.
What is the difference between the standard plate and the chain-slot plate?
The chain-slot version incorporates a slot that can provide an additional chain attachment point. The standard version leaves the plate without that added feature.
Which thickness should I choose?
That depends on the attachment being fabricated, the forces it will encounter, the machine it will be used with, and the overall attachment design. The plate thickness alone does not determine the finished attachment’s capacity.
Does this plate fit standard skid steer quick attach?
Yes. It is designed around the standard full-size Skid Steer Quick Attach interface.
Will it fit a mini skid steer?
No. This is a full-size SSQA plate. Mini skid steers commonly use narrower proprietary mounting systems, so a full-size SSQA plate should not be assumed to fit them.
Can I weld directly to the plate?
The Blank SSQA Plate is intended as a fabrication base. Welding, reinforcement, and final attachment design should be completed using appropriate fabrication practices for the finished implement and its intended loads.
Does choosing a thicker plate increase the rated capacity of my machine?
No. Machine operating capacity, coupler capacity, attachment design, welds, reinforcement, leverage, and load position all affect the finished system.
Note: Designed for machines using the standard full-size Skid Steer Quick Attach interface. Final compatibility and safe operating limits also depend on the design and construction of the finished attachment.
