Product Overview
Description
The Typhoon 60" Skid Steer Clearing Mower is now on closeout, and once these are gone, they’re gone. This is the same proven design that’s been in the field for over 10 years, with thousands of units out working across the country today. It’s a mower operators already trust, now available at what will likely be the lowest price you’ll ever see on this model before it transitions to the next version.
Built for aggressive land clearing, the Typhoon 60" is designed to power through dense brush, thick overgrowth, and small trees without constantly backing off the cut. The direct drive system and heavy-duty blade carrier help maintain blade speed under load, so you can stay productive in tough conditions where lighter-duty cutters struggle. This is a true clearing mower, not just a light brush cutter.
Even though this model is being phased out, you’re not buying into something that disappears. Both Eterra and Echo are committed to long-term parts support, so you can keep this mower running for years to come without worrying about serviceability.
With limited inventory remaining and a proven track record behind it, this is one of those opportunities where waiting likely means missing out. If you’ve been considering stepping up into a serious clearing mower without paying full price, this is the time to do it.
Why is Eterra Making a New Version?
It comes down to manufacturing improvements. Eterra has expanded its capabilities and can now produce more components in-house, which required some design updates. The V2 model is expected to release in late April to early May.

FAQs
What size material can this mower handle?
This mower is designed for heavy brush and small trees, typically handling material up to 8"–12" depending on conditions and machine power. We also definitely don't mention the time we cut down a 16" tree with it in one pass, we'd never go past what the manufacturer states.
What hydraulic flow do I need?
This unit requires 18–45 GPM, making it best suited for high-flow skid steers or strong standard-flow machines on the lower end.
Is this a brush cutter or a mulcher?
This is a heavy-duty brush cutter. It cuts and clears material quickly but does not mulch like a drum mulcher.
What makes this different from cheaper brush cutters?
Heavier construction, a thicker blade carrier, and better power transfer allow it to maintain cutting speed in thick material instead of bogging down.
Does this come ready to run?
Yes. It ships with hoses, flat-face couplers, and a case drain line, ready to hook up to your machine.
