Product Overview
Description
The Eterra PDX-1000 Post Driver is a heavy-duty skid steer attachment designed to quickly and efficiently drive fence posts, pipe, and sign posts into the ground. Powered by a nitrogen-charged breaker-style power cell, the PDX-1000 delivers up to 1,000 ft-lbs of driving energy per strike, allowing operators to install posts in a wide range of soil conditions.
Designed for professional fence installers and contractors, the PDX-1000 combines powerful impact force with smooth operation. The fully enclosed driver housing and vibration-isolating components help reduce shock transferred to the machine while maintaining consistent driving performance.
Features
- 1,000 ft-lb breaker-style impact energy drives posts fast in tough soil conditions
- Fully enclosed driver housing with isolators reduces vibration and protects your machine
- 15° hydraulic tilt (optional) allows accurate post placement on uneven terrain
- Post guide system (2", 4", 6", 8") keeps posts aligned and stable during driving
- Driver positioned closer to machine improves visibility and increases downforce control
- Optional breaker spike attachment pre-drills holes in hard or rocky ground

FAQs
What makes this different from a traditional post driver?
This is what is called a breaker style post driver, which utilizes the vibration from multiple hits to mimic a vibratory driver. But also uses massive power to copy a drop hammer system. Add the weight of the driver and some downforce to drives posts faster and more consistently.
Can it handle hard or rocky ground?
Yes, and with the optional breaker spike you can pre-drill tough ground before driving posts.
Do I need a large machine to run it?
No, it runs on standard flow (13–21 GPM), but you need enough machine weight and lift capacity for stability.
How accurate is the tilt feature?
The optional 15° tilt allows precise post placement on slopes, uneven terrain, and difficult angles.
What types of posts can it drive?
It can handle wood posts, pipe, guardrail, and even large posts depending on guide setup.
Does it shake the machine a lot?
We wouldn't say a lot, but definitely will be felt by the the operator. The enclosed power cell with isolators reduces vibration which allows for a full work day without your operator feeling like they rode a horse across Montana like other drivers do.
Is the driver head a wear part?
Technically yes
