Product Overview

Eterra Attachments | EX-40 Excavator Flail Mower
  • Description

If you’re running a larger excavator and need more coverage with serious cutting power, the Eterra EX-40 V2 Flail Mower steps things up in a big way. This is the next move up from the EX-30, giving you a wider cut, more hydraulic demand, and the ability to clear heavier material faster.

Built with a heavier drum, stronger shaft, and larger operating range, the EX-40 V2 is designed for contractors and crews that need to cover ground efficiently while still getting a clean, mulched finish. It handles thick brush, ditch lines, and overgrowth without leaving piles behind.

  • FAQs

What size excavator is this best for?

This mower is best suited for excavators in the 9,000 to 20,000 lb class.

What hydraulic flow do I need?

You will need roughly 15 to 50 GPM depending on performance expectations.

Does it require a case drain?

No. Most modern excavators do not require a case drain for this mower when properly matched.

    What can it cut?

It is designed for grass, thick brush, brambles, and small trees up to around 6 inches.

What makes this better than a rotary cutter?

Flail mowers produce a finer mulch and throw less debris, which improves safety and leaves a cleaner finish.

How long do the blades last?

Blade life depends on conditions but can reach several hundred hours when used properly and kept out of rocks.
