Product Overview

Brush Wolf | Open Front Heavy-Duty Series Skid Steer Brush Cutter
  • Description

The Brush Wolf Open Front Heavy-Duty Brush Cutter is a commercial-grade skid steer attachment designed for clearing heavy brush, saplings, and dense vegetation. The open front deck allows operators to engage material before it is pushed down, improving cutting efficiency and control when clearing fence lines, trails, and overgrown property.

Powered by a Eaton hydraulic motor and gearbox drive system, this mower delivers strong torque and consistent blade speed for tackling demanding clearing jobs. Available in 66", 72", and 78" cutting widths, the heavy-duty series can operate on machines ranging from low flow to high flow (10–40 GPM) and can cut brush and small trees up to 3-5 inches in diameter.

    Features

    • Open front deck design allows blades to engage material before the deck for faster, more aggressive cutting
    • Eaton Geroler hydraulic motor with right-angle gearbox delivers reliable torque and proven performance
    • Cuts up to 5" brush and saplings with high-flow models for heavier clearing
    • 3/8" push bar improves operator safety and allows for the pushing of trees in a controlled manner
    • Heavy-duty steel deck construction built for repeated clearing work
    • CNC-balanced blade carrier provides smoother operation and longer component life
    • Available in 66", 72", and 78" widths to match machine size and job requirements

  • FAQs

What’s the difference between standard duty and heavy duty?

The heavy-duty version has a stronger build, higher cutting capacity, and can handle more consistent clearing work.

Do I need high flow to run this?

No, it runs on standard flow, but high-flow machines unlock the full cutting capacity up to 5" material.

What size material can it realistically handle?

Standard flow models handle up to 3"–4", while high-flow models can cut up to 5" brush and saplings.

Why choose an open front cutter?

Open front designs cut faster by letting blades contact material first instead of pushing it over.

Is this good for land clearing jobs?

Yes, this is designed for regular clearing work like fence lines, trails, and property maintenance.

Will it bog down in thicker brush?

Compared to lighter cutters, this has more torque and better recovery, especially on higher flow machines.

    Who is this best for?

This is ideal for contractors and landowners who need more performance than standard-duty cutters without jumping to extreme-duty pricing.
