Product Overview
Description
The Eterra Raptor Boom Arm System is a side-reach mowing solution designed to turn your skid steer into a highly capable vegetation management machine. This is not just a mower - it’s a full system that allows you to run multiple mower heads while reaching areas traditional attachments simply cannot touch.
With up to 20 feet of reach depending on the mower head, the Raptor allows operators to cut along roadsides, into ditches, over guardrails, and around obstacles without constantly repositioning the machine.
Built off an excavator-style boom design, the latest version improves strength while reducing weight, making it easier to run on a wider range of machines.
Features
- Up to 14–20 ft of reach depending on mower head for true side-reach capability
- Excavator-style boom arm design provides strength while keeping weight manageable
- Hydraulic rotary actuator with breakaway protection prevents damage from impacts
- 180° head rotation allows cutting vertically, horizontally, or below grade
- Multiple mower head compatibility including rotary, flail, and sickle options

FAQs
Is this a complete mower or just the boom arm?
It’s a system. The boom arm is the base, and you choose a mower head like rotary, flail, or sickle depending on your application.
How far can I actually reach?
Up to around 20 feet depending on the mower head you’re running, with additional vertical reach from your machine.
What’s the biggest advantage over a standard brush mower?
Reach. You can cut areas a traditional front-mounted mower physically cannot access.
Can I switch between mower heads?
Yes, that’s one of the biggest advantages. You can run different heads depending on the job.
Is this only for high-flow machines?
No, it works with standard and high-flow machines, but higher flow gives better performance.
How does the breakaway system work?
The rotary actuator allows the arm to give if it hits an object, then resets to protect the system from damage.
Who should actually buy this?
Municipal crews, contractors, and property managers who need reach and versatility, not just cutting power.
