Product Overview

Prime Attachments | Skid Steer Tiller
  • Description

The Prime Attachments Skid Steer Tiller is built for turning raw ground into a finished seedbed in one pass. Whether you’re working food plots, gardens, landscaping projects, or site prep, this tiller is designed to break up tough soil, mix material evenly, and leave a clean, workable surface without multiple passes.

With a heavy-duty frame, bidirectional motor, and aggressive tine setup, it cuts into hard-packed ground and pulverizes it efficiently instead of just scratching the surface. This is the kind of attachment that saves time on every job and actually delivers a finish you don’t have to come back and fix.

If you’ve ever fought a light-duty tiller that bounces or skips, this is where you step up.

    Features

    • Four swing-away blades per spindle break into hard ground while protecting the drivetrain from shock loads
    • Bidirectional hydraulic motor lets you run forward to dig aggressively or reverse to smooth and finish the soil
    • Heavy-duty chain drive system delivers consistent power transfer without slipping under load
    • Adjustable skid shoes for depth control keep your working depth consistent across uneven terrain
    • Reversible and replaceable tines extend wear life and reduce long-term operating costs
    • Balanced steel construction gives enough weight to penetrate soil without overloading the machine
    • Standard flow compatibility (15–25 GPM) makes it usable on most skid steers without upgrading hydraulics

  • Benefits

  • FAQs

What makes this different from a soil conditioner?

A tiller actually cuts into the ground and mixes soil, while a soil conditioner is more for finishing and smoothing already worked material.

Can this handle hard or compacted ground?

Yes, that’s where it shines. The blade setup and weight help it bite into tougher soil instead of bouncing across the surface.

    Why does bidirectional rotation matter?

It lets you change how aggressively the tiller engages the ground and helps prevent clogging in certain soil conditions.

How deep can this realistically till?

Up to around 6 inches depending on soil type and machine power, which is ideal for most planting and prep work.

Will this leave a smooth finish?

It leaves a well-mixed, loose seedbed, but if you want a perfectly smooth finish, pairing it with a soil conditioner is ideal.

Do I need high flow to run this?

No, this is designed for standard flow machines, which makes it accessible for most skid steer owners.

What’s the biggest mistake people make when buying a tiller?

Going too light-duty. Lighter tillers struggle in real soil conditions and require more passes to get the same result.
