Stinger Attachments | BS4 Skid Steer Bale Spear – Series 4
  • Description

The Stinger Series 4 Bale Spear is built for larger hay operations, farmers, ranchers, and ag producers moving large square bales or two large round bales at a time. With four replaceable tines, wide spear placement, and multiple mount options, this bale spear gives operators more support and flexibility than a standard single, double, or three-spear setup.

This is a strong fit for skid steers, compact track loaders, and tractors with compatible mounting. Stinger lists the Series 4 with Universal Quick Attach, John Deere 100-500 Series, and Global Euro mount options, making it a practical choice for both skid steer and tractor loader use. It is available with 39", 43", or 49" spears, plus an optional bolt-on bale support for carrying two large bales at once.

    Features

    • Four-spear layout is built for large square bales and double large round bale handling.
    • Outermost tines are placed 61" apart with two additional tines placed evenly between them.
    • Available with 39", 43", or 49" spear lengths to match different bale sizes and loader setups.
    • Optional bolt-on side supports are available for carrying two large bales at once.
    • Each tine is rated for 3,500 lbs at 30" for heavy hay handling capacity.
    • Replaceable double-nut tines make service and replacement easier over time.
    • 70-degree back angle helps keep bales positioned during lifting, carrying, and stacking.
    • Built-in ribbed safety step gives operators a better step point when climbing in or out of the machine.
    • Multiple mount options are available, including Universal Quick Attach, John Deere 100-500 Series, and Global Euro.
    • Heavy-duty frame uses Grade 50 side plates and large support tubing for farm and ranch use.

  • FAQs

Will the Stinger Series 4 Bale Spear work on a tractor?

Yes. The Series 4 is available with tractor-friendly mount options, including John Deere 100-500 Series and Global Euro. It can also work with tractor loaders that use Universal Quick Attach.

What makes the Series 4 different from the Series 1, 2, and 3?

The Series 4 uses four spears instead of one, two, or three. That gives it more support across wider bales and makes it a better fit for large square bales or moving two round bales with the optional bale support.

Can this bale spear carry two round bales at once?

Yes, when equipped with the optional bolt-on bale support. This is one of the biggest reasons to choose the Series 4 if you are trying to cut down on trips while feeding or moving hay.

What bale types is the Series 4 best for?

It is best for large square bales, large round bales, and heavier hay handling jobs where more spear support is helpful.

    What mount should I choose?

Choose Universal Quick Attach for most skid steers, compact track loaders, and SSQA tractor loaders. Choose John Deere 100-500 Series or Global Euro if your tractor loader uses one of those mount styles.

    Are the spears replaceable?

Yes. The Series 4 uses replaceable double-nut tines, so a damaged or worn spear can be replaced without replacing the whole attachment.

What spear length should I pick?

Choose 39" spears for smaller or lighter bales, 43" spears for a good all-around setup, and 49" spears for larger round or square bales where extra usable length helps.

Why does the back angle matter?

The 70-degree back angle helps keep the bale positioned toward the frame while lifting, carrying, and stacking, especially when working around barns, feed areas, or uneven ground.

Is this too much attachment for a compact tractor?

It can be, depending on the tractor. The Series 4 is a heavier four-spear bale attachment, so compact tractor owners should confirm loader lift capacity, mount style, and bale weight before ordering.
