Product Overview
Description
The Eterra Raptor Mounted Sickle Bar Mower is designed specifically to pair with the Raptor Boom Arm system , giving skid steer operators the ability to cut in places traditional mowers simply can’t reach. This is not a standalone attachment - it is a dedicated mower head that mounts to the Raptor arm to create a true side-reach mowing system.
Available in multiple lengths, this sickle bar is built for clean, precise cutting along roadsides, fence lines, ditches, and overgrowth. The 5 ft model goes a step further - it is fully sealed and aquatic approved, making it ideal for canals, waterways, and wet environments where standard mower heads are not designed to operate.
When combined with the Raptor boom arm’s reach and articulation, you can cut vertically, horizontally, or even below grade without repositioning your machine.

FAQs
Can I run this without a Raptor boom arm?
No. This is a dedicated mower head designed only for the Raptor system and will not function as a standalone attachment.
Why choose a sickle bar over a flail or rotary head?
Sickle bars provide a cleaner cut and are better for trimming, maintenance work, and controlled vegetation removal.
What makes the 5 ft model different from the others?
The 5 ft version is fully sealed and aquatic approved, meaning it can operate in canals, waterways, and wet environments where standard mower heads cannot.
What kind of material can it handle?
It is designed for grass, weeds, and light brush up to around 2 inches thick.
How far can I actually reach with this setup?
With the Raptor boom arm, you can reach up to around 20 feet depending on the mower size.
Is this better for roadside work than a brush cutter?
Yes, especially when you need clean cuts and controlled trimming rather than aggressive clearing.
Can I swap between different mower heads?
Yes, the Raptor system allows you to switch between sickle, flail, and rotary heads depending on the job. The most common setup is the rotary cutter with the 5 ft. sickle.
Who is this best for?
Municipal crews, contractors, and property managers doing roadside, ditch, and fence line maintenance.
