Product Overview

Diamond Mowers | DC Pro Skid Steer Drum Mulcher
  • Description

The Diamond Mowers SK Drum Mulcher DC Pro is built for operators who want true mulching performance without needing a massive high-flow machine. Designed for skid steers up to around 75 HP, this unit gives you the ability to process brush and trees into a clean, consistent mulch in a single pass.

What sets this apart is the 50 inch drum width, which keeps rotating mass lower so it spins up faster, stays at speed, and delivers more usable cutting power where it matters. Instead of bogging down like wider heads, this mulcher stays productive on real-world machines doing real clearing work.

    Features

    • 50 inch cutting width optimized for performance keeps rotating weight lower for faster spool-up and better control
    • High-torque 2-speed hydraulic motor delivers strong cutting force with efficient power use
    • Twin chisel style teeth with depth control rings regulate bite and produce consistent mulch
    • Optimized infeed design pulls material into the drum for better processing
    • Serrated multi-position push bar helps guide and control material during cutting
    • Oil bath spindle system reduces maintenance and increases durability
    • Balanced compact design keeps weight closer to the machine for better stability
    • Skid steer quick attach for fast hookup

  • Benefits

    leaner Finished Mulch

Drum design breaks material down finer than disc or rotary cutters

    More Usable Power

50 inch width keeps the drum in the power band instead of dragging your machine down

    Works on More Machines

Runs on standard and lower high-flow setups without needing a large carrier

    Faster Real-World Production

Less bogging means more consistent cutting and fewer slowdowns

  • FAQs

Why is it only 50 inches wide

Most clearing work is not wide open mowing. A narrower drum spins up faster, stays at speed easier, and puts more power into cutting instead of turning extra weight.

Is wider not better for mulchers

Not always. Wider heads take more power to keep spinning. On most machines, that leads to bogging down and slower production.

What is the difference between this and a disc mulcher

A drum mulcher processes material into finer mulch. A disc mulcher is faster for knocking material down but leaves a rougher finish.

Can this run on standard flow machines

Yes. It is designed to run on lower flow setups, but performance improves with higher flow.

How big of material can it handle

Up to around 8 inch trees depending on conditions and operator technique.

Does it leave a clean finish

Yes. Much cleaner than brush cutters or disc-style mulchers.

What is the biggest mistake people make buying a mulcher

Buying too wide for their machine. If your machine cannot keep the drum spinning, production drops fast.
