Product Overview
Description
The M&M Hydra Split is built for skid steer and compact track loader operators who want more than a basic firewood splitter. It can split firewood, trim trees, and cut wood to length, making it a useful attachment for storm cleanup, property maintenance, farm work, wooded acreage, and firewood processing.
Available in 24" and 36" stroke models, the Hydra Split uses a 20-ton hydraulic cylinder and a sharp knife-style blade that can cross cut hardwood up to 8" diameter and softer wood up to 10" diameter. It is also offset to the left for better visibility from the cab, includes hoses and couplers, and can be paired with an optional bolt-on 4-way splitting head for faster splitting work,
Features
- Multi-Use Wood Tool: Splits firewood, trims trees, and cuts wood to length with one attachment.
- Knife-Style Cutting: Sharp blade technology allows cross cutting, unlike most standard wood splitters.
- Clean Cut Design: Pushes wood past the cutting edge to leave a cleaner cut.
- Reversible Blade: Blade is reversible and replaceable for longer service life.
- Left Offset Frame: Improves operator visibility from the skid steer or CTL cab.
Benefits
Split, Trim, and Cut
Use one attachment to split firewood, trim trees, and cut wood to length from the cab.
Two Stroke Options
Choose the 24" stroke model for smaller firewood work or the 36" stroke model for longer material.
Cross Cut Capability
The sharp knife design can cross cut hardwood up to 8" and softer wood up to 10" diameter.
Better Cab Visibility
The left-offset design gives operators a better view of the cutting and splitting area.
Ideal For

FAQs
What does the Hydra Split do?
The Hydra Split can split firewood, trim trees, and cut wood to length, making it more versatile than a standard skid steer log splitter.
What is the difference between the 24" and 36" models?
The 24" stroke model is a good fit for shorter firewood and smaller cleanup jobs. The 36" stroke model gives more stroke length for longer material. A longer stroke increases cycle time, so if you are not looking for 3' logs, go with the 24" stroke.
Can it cross cut logs?
Yes. It can cross cut hardwood up to 8" diameter and softer wood up to 10" diameter.
How does it cross cut wood?
The sharp knife-style blade pushes wood past the cutting edge, allowing it to cut material instead of only splitting it.
How much splitting force does it have?
The Hydra Split uses a 20-ton hydraulic cylinder.
Does it include hoses and couplers?
Yes. Hoses and couplers are included.
What is the 4-way splitting head for?
The optional bolt-on 4-way head splits wood into four pieces instead of two. It is for splitting only, not cross cutting.
