Product Overview
Description
The Skid Max Mini SMP-3HA is a hydraulic adjustable 3-blade grader built for mini skid steers and compact utility loaders. It gives smaller machines a real road and driveway grading attachment, not just a light-duty land plane or bucket replacement. The 3-blade design cuts, carries, relays, and smooths gravel, dirt, clay, and aggregate so operators can repair rough surfaces faster and leave a cleaner finish.
Available in 48" and 60" widths, t he hydraulic adjustable cutting assembly lets operators switch from spreading and leveling to angled grading and crowning from the seat. For driveways, farm lanes, private roads, parking areas, trails, and tight-access grading, it gives mini skid steer operators more control than trying to shape material with a bucket.
Features
- Hydraulic Adjustable Cutting Assembly: Change the blade angle from the seat for spreading, leveling, grading, and crowning.
- 3-Blade Grading System: Cuts, carries, mixes, relays, and smooths material better than a bucket in road and driveway work.
- Mini Skid Steer Sizing: 48" and 60" widths are easier to use in residential, farm, trail, landscape, and tight-access areas.
- Forward and Reverse Grading: Push forward to cut and move material, or pull backward to smooth loose gravel and remove tracks.
- Road Crown Capability: Angled blade position helps build and maintain crown for better water runoff on gravel roads and lanes.
- Caterpillar Cutting Edges: Curved cutting edges help cut hard material and roll gravel through the grader.
- Full-Size Side Pans: Side pans help contain material and keep the grading width controlled.
- Reversible Skid Shoes: Heavy-duty skid shoes help the grader ride consistently and can be flipped when worn.
Benefits
Hydraulic Adjustment From the Seat
Adjust the cutting assembly from the operator’s seat to go from spreading and leveling to angled grading without climbing off the machine.
Built for Mini Skid Steers
Available in 48" and 60" widths, giving compact machines a serious grading option for driveways, trails, lanes, and tight jobsites.
Grades Forward or Backward
The 3-blade setup can work while pushing forward or pulling backward to smooth material and help clean up machine tracks.
Helps Reclaim Existing Gravel
The curved cutting edges and blade pitch help pull buried gravel back up, relay material, and freshen the surface without always adding new rock.
Ideal For
- Mini skid steer operators maintaining gravel driveways, private roads, and long property entrances.
- Landscapers grading yards, pads, trails, parking areas, and tight residential jobsites.
- Farmers and acreage owners repairing lanes, barnyard areas, field entrances, and washed-out gravel.
- Contractors spreading rock, leveling dirt, cleaning up trench areas, and finishing compact jobsites.
- Parks, DNR, and land management crews maintaining trails, access paths, small lots, and narrow roads.
Specifications
- Available Widths: 48" and 60"
- Blade Setup: 3-blade PRO grader
- Adjustment: Hydraulic cutting assembly angle control from the seat
- Angled Working Width: Approximately 13" wider than listed width when fully angled
- Cutting Edges: Caterpillar curved cutting edges
- Skid Shoes: 1.5" thick, reversible, and replaceable
Compatible Machines
Note: Match the 48" or 60" width to your machine’s horsepower, operating weight, traction, hydraulic setup, and mount. Smaller machines usually pair better with 48", while larger mini skid steers and compact utility loaders can often handle 60".

FAQs
What is the Mini SMP-3HA used for?
It is used for grading gravel driveways, lanes, trails, parking areas, small roads, yards, and compact jobsites with a mini skid steer or compact utility loader.
What makes the 3HA different from the manual adjustable model?
The 3HA is hydraulically adjustable from the seat. The manual adjustable version requires the operator to stop and manually change the cutting assembly position.
Why choose the 48" model?
The 48" model is best for smaller mini skid steers, tight access work, narrow trails, residential jobs, and areas where maneuverability matters more than coverage.
Why choose the 60" model?
The 60" model is better when your machine has enough size and traction and you want more coverage per pass on driveways, lanes, parking areas, and larger open spaces.
Can it build or maintain a crown?
Yes. The hydraulic adjustable cutting assembly can be angled for road grading and crowning, helping move material and shape gravel for better drainage.
Can it grade in reverse?
Yes. The 3-blade design can be pulled backward to smooth loose material, compact the finish, and help remove machine tracks.
Is this better than using a bucket?
For grading, yes. A bucket can move material, but the Mini SMP-3HA is designed to cut, mix, relay, and smooth gravel or dirt more consistently.
Will it work in hard-packed gravel?
Yes. The curved Caterpillar cutting edges and blade pitch are designed to cut into harder gravel, dirt, and clay surfaces better than a bucket.
